The cryopreservation of oocytes through vitrification is imperative for the conservation of livestock germplasm resources. However, as oocytes exhibit significant oxidative stress and organelle damage following vitrification freezing, it is crucial to optimise the vitrification conditions to mitigate the deleterious effects of freezing. In this study, we demonstrated that spermidine has been showed to enhance oocyte survival after vitrification freezing (92% ± 4% vs.

This study aimed to examine the effects of static object and dynamic action cues associated with cigarettes on the liking and approach components of implicit attitudes toward smoking. Three experiments were conducted using a modified paradigm of the Brief Implicit Association Test (BIAT).

Recently, peptide-based drugs have shown promise in cancer treatment. In this research, a new endogenous peptide called CBDP1 was discovered in ccRCC and its potential anti-cancer properties were examined.

Inhibition of dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) can lower blood glucose levels by stimulating insulin secretion. Besides, it can affect cognitive function through the neuroprotective effect of DPP-4 substrates, such as glucose-dependent insulin peptide and glucagon-like peptide-1, the proteolytic effect on amyloid-β and the protective effect on neuronal structure.

The Hippo-YAP1 axis is inhibited in bladder cancer (BC), which is a major driver of BC progression and oncogenesis. Hippo pathway activity is controlled by the phosphorylation cascade in the MST1/2-LATS1/2-YAP1 axis, in addition to other modifications such as ubiquitination of the Hippo pathway proteins through the co-regulation of E3 ligases and deubiquitinases.

In this work, Mn-Fe oxide/graphite felt (GF) cathodes were synthesized by in situ reduction and low temperature calcination. The obtained Mn-Fe oxide/GF was used as cathodes to activate peroxymonosulfate (PMS) for atrazine (ATZ) degradation in the EAOPs system.

Therefore, understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in UBC recurrence is crucial for reducing its recurrence rate. The aim of our study is to help urologists and clinical researchers gain a deeper understanding of the changes in the tumor microenvironment (TME) during UBC recurrence.

More importantly, accompanied by the two-step Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) process in the resultant artificial LHSs, the sequentially amplified circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) performances were achieved, highlighting that the chiral rotaxane-branched dendrimers could serve as excellent relay for both energy transfer and chirality transmission. Impressively, compared with the sole chiral rotaxane-branched dendrimers, the dissymmetry factors (g) values of the resultant artificial LHSs were amplified by one order of magnitude up to 0.

Purpose: The effect of methimazole withdrawl period (MWP) on the estimation of 24 hour-radioiodine thyroid uptake (131IU24h) from 99mTc-pertechnetate thyroid uptake (99mTcTU) remains unclear for patients with Graves disease (GD) . This study aims to investigate the feasibility and reliability of 99mTcTU-based 131IU24h estimation with different MWPs.
Methods: We enrolled 116 GD patients scheduled for 131I therapy at our hospital between April 2022 and April 2023.
Teacher burnout is one of the main reasons leading to decreased teaching performance and occupational mental health issues among teachers, drawing widespread global attention. Previous research has found that both resiliency and psychological empowerment can alleviate teacher burnout, yet there is no study simultaneously examining the relationships between resiliency, PE, and teacher burnout. Furthermore, previous studies have found gender differences in teacher burnout but have not examined the moderating effects of resiliency and psychological empowerment by gender group.

Feline herpesvirus type 1 (FHV-1), also known as feline viral rhinotracheitis (FVR) virus, is one of the main causes of URT disease in cats. All cats can become hosts of FHV-1, and the spread of this disease affects the protection of rare feline animals.

Few studies have assessed whether there is an interaction between different kinds of school bullying roles and negative cognition. The present study administered four questionnaire follow-up tests among Chinese children over two years to explore the bidirectional relation and underlying mechanisms between bullying/victimization and negative automatic thoughts (about self/others).

Bladder cancer (BC) represents a prevalent and formidable malignancy necessitating innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have emerged as crucial regulators in cancer biology. In this study, we comprehensively evaluated ferroptosis levels in BC cells utilizing techniques encompassing lipid peroxidation assessment, transmission electron microscopy, and malondialdehyde (MDA) measurement.

Bladder cancer (BC) is one of the most common malignancies in the male urinary system and currently lacks an optimal treatment strategy. To elucidate the pathogenic mechanisms of BC from the perspective of circular RNAs, we conducted this study. Building upon our previous research, a novel circRNA, circPKN2, captured our interest due to its significant downregulation in BC, and its close association with the prognosis of BC patients.
