Background: In recent years, osimertinib, a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI), has been recommended as a first-line treatment for -mutant advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A phase III study (AENEAS) to assess the efficacy and safety of aumolertinib, another third-generation EGFR-TKI, gefitinib as a first-line treatment in patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC harboring mutations has also achieved positive results. Despite the improvements in progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) of third- first-generation EGFR-TKIs, combined treatment strategies to postpone drug resistance and further prolong survival benefits remain to be explored.

We aimed to assess the clinical application of dynamic F-FDG PET/CT in patients with multiple lung cancer nodules. We enrolled patients with multiple pulmonary nodules who had undergone dynamic F-FDG PET/CT and divided them into sMPLC and IPM groups based on comprehensive features.

Methods: RNA sequencing assay and 18 pairs of tumor and normal tissues from patients were analyzed to reveal the upregulation of PHPT1 in lung cancer, followed by confirming the biological function in vitro and in vivo.
Esophageal cancer (EC) is a highly malignant gastrointestinal tumor, and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is one of the most common histological types of EC. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small noncoding RNAs closely related to tumorigenesis and tumor progression. In addition, Nestin is an intermediate filament protein (class VI) and contributes to the progression of numerous tumors.

Methods: Patients without epithelial growth factor receptor (EGFR) or anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) targetable mutations in advanced NSCLC who did not respond to previous treatment were enrolled. Eligible patients received nivolumab (3 mg/kg, i.
High lead-tin bronze is widely used in the selection of wear-resistant parts such as bearings, bearing bushes, aerospace pump rotors, turbines, and guide plates because of its excellent wear resistance, thermal conductivity, fatigue resistance, and strong load-bearing capacity. At present, high lead-tin bronze is used as a material for bimetal cylinders, which cannot meet the requirements of high-strength, anti-wear in actual working conditions under high temperature, high speed, and heavy load conditions, and is prone to de-cylinder, cylinder holding, copper sticking, etc. The reason for the failure of cylinder body parts is that the strength of copper alloy materials is insufficient, the proportion of lead in the structure is serious, and the wear resistance of the material is reduced.

Methods: In this study, we retrospectively analyzed 36 patients with LELC diagnosed in the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and Zhaoqing First People's Hospital from January 2014 to June 2021, to investigate the clinical manifestations, tumor markers, treatment, and prognosis of LELC. Clinical data including age, gender, smoking history, family history of cancers, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) encoding RNA (EBER) status, gene mutations, programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression, treatment, and prognosis.
Although the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology guidelines recommend comprehensive genomic profiling of lung adenocarcinoma, it has not been widely applied in Chinese hospitals. This observational study aimed to determine real-world evidence of whether comprehensive genomic profiling can benefit the survival of patients with lung cancer. We investigated the frequency of genomic alterations, treatment strategies, and clinical outcomes in 233 patients with advanced non-small cell lung carcinoma who were routinely screened using a 508-gene panel.

While photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been utilized as a treatment approach for several types of cancer, oxyphotodynamic therapy (OPDT) is a novel method that improves treatment efficacy by increasing local oxygen concentration. Metformin (MET) has been demonstrated utility as an anti-tumor agent by acting through the adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) pathway.

However, the functional roles of lncRNAs and their underlying dysregulation mechanisms in breast cancer are not completely understood. The aim of the present study was to investigate the clinical significance and biological functions of lncRNA TMPO antisense RNA 1 (TMPO-AS1) in breast cancer.

We assessed the activity of pemetrexed first-line treatment for a non-dominant population, explore the safety and efficacy of pemetrexed therapy.
Methods: We did this two-phased, single-arm trial at two sites at the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and Guangxi medical university cancer hospital.
Background: Abnormally expressed circular RNAs (circRNAs) are implicated in the development and treatment of gastric cancer (GC). Previous study has reported that hsa_circ_0003159 is expressed in GC. However, the role and mechanism of hsa_circ_0003159 in GC progression remain unclear.

Our main purpose was to investigate the imaging characteristics of PT or MLN by applying the F-FDG PET dynamic modeling approach for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: Dynamic F-FDG PET scans were performed for 76 lung cancer patients, and 62 NSCLC cases were finally included in this study: 37 with newly diagnosed early and locally advanced lung cancer without distant metastases (group M0) and 25 metastatic lung cancer (group M1).
Increasing research indicates that hyperglycemia plays a crucial role in the progression of diabetic nephropathy (DN); however, effective treatment for preventing or slowing DN progression are seriously lacking. Although salidroside (SAL) has been demonstrated to have a positive anti-diabetic effect, the cellular mechanisms remain unclear. FG-4592, a novel prolyl hydroxylase inhibitor, was used to regulate HIF-1α and HIF-2α expression.

Methods: A total of 53 advanced lung adenocarcinoma patients hospitalized between July 2013 and June 2016 with a performance status ≤2 were enrolled in this study. All patients received 4-6 cycles of combination chemotherapy comprising pemetrexed (500 mg/m dL) and nedaplatin (80 mg/m dL).
Background: We conducted the retrospective study to compare the efficacy of monotherapies versus two-drug regimens as postoperative chemotherapy for patients with radically resected gastric cancer.
Results: At a median follow-up of 5.3 years, no significant difference in terms of OS was observed between two groups, neither before nor after matching.
