Super-resolution ultrasound (SRU) is a new ultrasound imaging mode that promises to facilitate the detection of microvascular disease by providing new vascular bio-markers that are directly linked to microvascular pathophysiology, thereby augmenting current knowledge and potentially enabling new treatment. Such a capability can be developed through thorough understanding as articulated by means of mathematical models. In this study, a 2D numerical flow model is adopted for generating flow adaptation in response to ischaemia, in order to determine the ability of SRU to register the resulting flow perturbations.

Recent research has indicated that RNA acetylation modification, a specific type of post-transcriptional modification, may play a critical role in the pathogenesis of these diseases. Among the various mechanisms of RNA modification, N-acetyltransferase 10 (NAT10) has been identified as the sole cytidine acetyltransferase in eukaryotes.

Background: The increasing antimicrobial resistance caused by the improper use of antibiotics poses a significant challenge to humanity. Rapid and accurate identification of microbial species in clinical settings is crucial for precise medication and reducing the development of antimicrobial resistance. This study aimed to explore a method for automatic identification of bacteria using Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) analysis and deep learning algorithms.

Existing glioma segmentation approaches using multi-modal inputs often rely on a simplistic approach of stacking images from all modalities, disregarding modality-specific features that could optimize diagnostic outcomes. This paper introduces STE-Net, a spatial reinforcement hybrid Transformer-based tri-branch multi-modal evidential fusion network designed for conflict-free brain tumor segmentation.

While Diffusion-Weighted Imaging (DWI) and Computed Tomography Perfusion (CTP) are effective for early infarction identification, Non-Contrast CT (NCCT) remains the first-line imaging modality in emergency settings due to its efficiency and cost-effectiveness. In this work, to enhance lesion segmentation in NCCT using multi-modal information, we propose OS-AISeg, which integrates Offline knowledge distillation with Self-knowledge distillation to realize AIS segmentation.

Detecting early ischemic lesions (EIL) in computed tomography (CT) images is crucial for reducing diagnostic time and minimizing neuron loss due to oxygen deprivation. This paper introduces DCTP-Net, a dual-branch network for segmenting acute ischemic stroke lesions in CT images, consisting of a segmentation branch and a prompt-aware branch. The segmentation branch uses an encoder-decoder network as the backbone to identify lesions, where the encoder fuses CT image features with prompt features from the prompt-aware branch.

Typically such data stem from conventional delay and sum (DAS) beamforming that is used widely in ultrasound imaging modes. Recently, adaptive beamforming has shown significant improvement in spatial resolution, but its value to super-resolution image analysis approaches is not fully understood.

Methods: Db/db mice were administered intraperitoneal injections of Liraglutide (10 nmol/kg), Tirzepatide (10 nmol/kg), and Retatrutide (10 nmol/kg) for 10 weeks. Subsequently, we assessed the effectiveness of these three drugs in controlling blood glucose levels, reducing weight, and improving serum biochemical indicators and DKD.
Streptococcus pneumoniae is a significant pathogen causing infectious diseases, including pneumonia, otitis media, septicemia, and meningitis. The introduction of multivalent vaccines has coincided with a remarkable decrease in the number of pneumococcal-related deaths. Despite this, pneumococcal infection remains a significant cause of death among children under 5 years old and adults aged 65 or older at a global level.

This might be a main reason the prognosis of wound victims has not improved. Although our previous work found that the combination of indomethacin (IND) and ciprofloxacin (CIP) could promote skin wound repair and enhance the immune function, the efficacy and safety of this strategy for severe traumatic infection-mediated complications remain unknown.

Background: It is challenging to identify residual or recurrent fistulas from the surgical region, while MR imaging is feasible. The aim was to use dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging (DCE-MRI) technology to distinguish between active anal fistula and postoperative healing (granulation) tissue.
Methods: Thirty-six patients following idiopathic anal fistula underwent DCE-MRI.
Background: Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are a small population of cells in tumor tissues that can drive tumor initiation and promote tumor progression. A small number of previous studies indirectly mentioned the role of F-box and WD repeat domain-containing 7 (FBXW7) as a tumor suppressor in Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). However, few studies have focused on the function of FBXW7 in cancer stemness in TNBC and the related mechanism.

Background: This prespecified subgroup analysis of the FIDELIO-DKD trial aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of finerenone in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in China.
Methods: 372 participants were recruited from 67 centers in China and randomized 1:1 to oral finerenone or placebo with standard therapy for T2DM. The primary composite outcome included kidney failure, sustained decrease of estimated glomerular filtration rate ≥40% from baseline over at least 4 weeks, or renal death.

Immediate identification of disease-causing bacteria can improve patient prognosis. Traditional testing methods are not only time-consuming, but such tests are limited to laboratories.
