Background: Observational studies have demonstrated a correlation between thyroid dysfunction and osteoporosis (OP); however, the underlying causality has yet to be fully elucidated.
Methods: The necessary dataset was sourced from public databases. Initially, instrumental variables (IVs) were selected based on three primary hypotheses.
Purpose: This prospective clinical trial aims to compare the efficacy and safety of gemcitabine plus cisplatin (GP) versus docetaxel plus cisplatin and fluorouracil (TPF) as induction chemotherapy combined with locoregional radiotherapy in de novo metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (dmNPC).
Methods: 146 dmNPC patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive 4-6 cycles of GP (GP group) or TPF induction chemotherapy (TPF group) followed by locoregional radiotherapy (LRRT). The primary endpoint was overall survival (OS).
Purpose: Cancer has become a significant major public health concern, making the discovery of new cancer markers or therapeutic targets exceptionally important. Elevated expression of tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 12A (TNFRSF12A) expression has been observed in certain types of cancer. View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: The primary screening technique for precancerous lesions and cervical cancer is human papillomavirus (HPV) testing, and HPV self-sampling has been shown to be consistent with clinician sampling in terms of the accuracy of the results and may improve cervical cancer screening rates. The aim of this study was to understand the level of awareness, experience, acceptability, and preference for vaginal HPV self-sampling among women in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, China, and to analyze the possible influencing factors to determine the feasibility of implementing self-sampling.
Methods: Overall, 1793 women were included in the data analysis.
Background: Anti-PD-1 therapy and chemotherapy is a recommended first-line treatment for recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma, but the role of PD-1 blockade remains unknown in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. We assessed the addition of sintilimab, a PD-1 inhibitor, to standard chemoradiotherapy in this patient population.
Methods: This multicentre, open-label, parallel-group, randomised, controlled, phase 3 trial was conducted at nine hospitals in China.
