Fabrication of an organic polymer nanofiltration membrane with both high water permeability and high salt rejection is still a big challenge. Herein, phytic acid (PhA)-modified graphene oxide (GO) was used as the membrane thickness modifier, which was introduced into the thin-film nanoparticle composite (TFN) membrane interfacial polymerization (IP) on a porous substrate. The water flux of the optimally tuned TFN-GP-0.

Graphene oxide (GO) based membranes are promising for advanced nanofiltration in water treatments but there is a need to improve water flux and membrane stability. Although the interlayer distance of GO membranes can be expanded using intercalants to improve permeability, achieving uniform intercalation without the added complication of water-induced swelling is challenging. Herein, we report the fabrication of GO hybrid lamellar membranes with controllable layer structures to achieve high performance in nanofiltration.

Though LIM-domain protein AJUBA was identified as a putative oncogene, the function and underlying mechanisms of AJUBA in cervical cancer remain largely unknown. Firstly, AJUBA expression was detected via real-time quantitative PCR in patients' samples. Furthermore, Hela and Siha cells were transfected with AJUBA-overexpressing plasmids, and then exposed to cisplatin, the apoptosis was measured by cytometry assay.

The development of multidrug resistance (MDR) is a crucial cause of therapy failure in gastric cancer, which results in disease recurrence and metastasis. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been proven to be critical in carcinogenesis and metastasis of gastric cancer. However, little is known about the roles of ANRIL (antisense non-coding RNA in the INK4 locus) in gastric cancer MDR.

Three pepsinogens (PG1, PG2, PG3) were highly purified from the stomach of Japanese seabass (Lateolabrax japonicus) by ammonium sulfate fractionation, DEAE-Sephacel anion exchange column chromatography and Sephacryl S-200 gel-filtration. Two dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2D-PAGE) analysis revealed that the molecular masses of the three PGs were 35, 37, and 34kDa, and their isoelectric points were 5.3, 5.
