Sustainable processes for semi-hydrogenation of alkynes/alkadienes impurities in alkenes feedstocks are in great demand in industry as the utilization of excessive hydrogen, high temperature and unsatisfactory alkenes selectivity of the current thermo-catalytic route, however, their development is still challenging. Herein, we innovate a light-assisted semi-hydrogenation process in gas-feed fixed bed reactor, with water as hydrogen atom source by in situ photocatalysis. Using Pd/TiO as model catalyst, this process shows an excellent catalytic performance for the semi-hydrogenation of 1,3-butadiene, with 100 % of butenes selectivity at ≈99 % of conversion over 180 h of reaction at ambient temperature driven by 66 mW cm of irradiation intensity.

Purpose Of The Review: The abuse of opioids induces many terrible problems in human health and social stability. For opioid-dependent individuals, withdrawal memory can be reactivated by context, which is then associated with extremely unpleasant physical and emotional feelings during opioid withdrawal. The reactivation of withdrawal memory is considered one of the most important reasons for opioid relapse, and it also allows for memory modulation based on the reconsolidation phenomenon.

Importance: The role of induction chemotherapy (IC) or adjuvant chemotherapy (AC) in the treatment of locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) remains controversial.

Objectives: To update meta-analyses on the association of survival outcomes with IC and AC regimens in patients with locoregionally advanced NPC and assess whether the current evidence is conclusive by a trial sequential analysis (TSA) approach.

Data Sources: PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science were searched for articles published from inception until June 1, 2019.

In July of 2012, mass infections with Paragonimus species were detected in the Henan province sickening 11 of 51 people. In May 2011, these individuals had participated in an excursion during which freshwater crabs were caught and served after being toasted. Before the group infections with Paraginimus species was confirmed, 5 of the 11 patients had been misdiagnosed as tuberculosis (TB) and treated with an anti-TB drug regimen for six months.

Objective: To understand and analyze the epidemic status of human intestinal parasitic diseases in the ecological region of the Qinba Mountains in Henan Province, so as to provide the evidence for the control of the diseases in this region.

Methods: According to the methods of , 26 survey spots were selected in 8 counties (cities) in ecological regions of Qinba Mountains in Henan Province in 2015. After collecting the human fecal samples, the eggs of intestinal helminthes were detected with the modified Kato-Katz thick smear method, the species of of the hookworm egg-positive samples were identified with the tube fecal culture method, the eggs of were detected by using the adhesive tape method in children aged 3 to 6 years, and the cyst and trophozoite of intestinal protozoa were examined by iodine staining.

  • A study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of the maximally treated intracerebral hemorrhage (max-ICH) score in predicting long-term outcomes for patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) in China.
  • The research analyzed data from the China National Stroke Registry, comparing the max-ICH score's performance against six other established scoring models using ROC analysis.
  • Results showed that the max-ICH score was as good or better than the other scores in predicting unfavorable outcomes and death, making it a reliable tool for clinicians in a Chinese population context.

Objective: To understand the epidemic situation of soil-transmitted nematodiasis in the national surveillance site in Henan Province.

Methods: Over 1 000 fecal samples from inhabitants in Huaiyang County of Henan Province, which was a national surveillance site, were collected each year from 2006 to 2015, the eggs of soil-transmitted nematodes and other intestinal helminths were examined by Kato-Kats technique. The cellophane swab method was used to detect eggs in children aged 3 to 12 years.

Article Synopsis
  • * A total of 5,229 people were examined, revealing a low infection rate of intestinal helminths (0.3%-0.6%) with mild infections, predominantly in children under 10 years and those over 70, but no severe or multiple infections were observed.
  • * Soil samples showed no presence of Ascaris eggs, indicating a potential control of this particular nematode, while the overall findings suggest that while helminth infections exist, they remain

The main objectives of the research described in the present paper are to develop a semi-analysis model of water clarity for case 2 waters without inputting the absorption and scattering coefficient, which are not easy to be obtained for offshore marine areas so far. Based on the Zsd (Secchi depth)inversion theory, a simple semi-analysis spectra model was established for offshore seawater clarity by analyzing the relationship between vertical diffuse attenuation coefficient K(d) (490) and the beam attenuation coefficient c(490) with remote sensing reflectance. This semi-analysis spectra model needed two band reflectance ratios on- ly, while tidal correction was produced for this model to improve the precision of the retrieving results.
