Objective: To investigate the recent HIV-1 infections of the blood donors in Fuzhou zone.
Methods: The positive HIV antibody confirmatory samples in Fuzhou zone from 2012 to 2016 were collected and tested by LAg-Avidity EIA, and HIV long-term infections or recent infections were determined.
Results: 405 371 cases of blood donors were tested in the period from 2012 to 2016, and 94 HIV confirmatory positive samples were collected.
Warm-temperate evergreen (WTE) forest represents the typical vegetation type of subtropical China, but how its component species responded to past environmental change remains largely unknown. Here, we reconstruct the evolutionary history of Tetrastigma hemsleyanum, an herbaceous climber restricted to the WTE forest. Twenty populations were genotyped using chloroplast DNA sequences and nuclear microsatellite loci to assess population structure and diversity, supplemented by phylogenetic dating, ancestral area reconstructions and ecological niche modeling (ENM) of the species distributions during the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) and at present.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: CD44, a hyaluronan (HA) receptor, is a multistructural and multifunctional cell surface molecule involved in cell proliferation, cell differentiation, cell migration, angiogenesis, presentation of cytokines, chemokines and growth factors to the corresponding receptors, and docking of proteases at the cell membrane, as well as in signaling for cell survival. The CD44 gene contains 20 exons that are alternatively spliced, giving rise to many CD44 isoforms, perhaps including tumor-specific sequences.
Methods: Reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western blotting were used to detect CD44st mRNA and CD44 protein in sensitive MCF-7, Lovo, K562 and HL-60 cell lines as well as their parental counterparts, respectively.
The ozone variation led by biomass burning in Spring 2000 over South East Asia and South of China region was simulated with a combined regional climate model and atomospheric chemical model. It was found that ozone was added by the pollutant of biomass burning both over source area and down wind area. The ozone of lower troposphere was affected by the pollutant over source area, so did the ozone in middle troposphere over down wind area.
