The rapid development of low energy dissipation spintronic devices has stimulated the search for air-stable 2D nanomaterials possessing room-temperature ferromagnetism. Here the experimental realization of 2D MoB nanosheets is reported with intrinsic room-temperature ferromagnetic characteristics by vacancy engineering. These nanosheets are synthesized by etching the bulk MAB phase (MoY)AlB into MoB nanosheets in ZnCl molten salt.

Arteriosclerosis obliterans (ASO) is characterized by arterial narrowing and blockage due to atherosclerosis, influenced by endothelial dysfunction and inflammation. This research focuses on exploring the role of MAGOH-DT, a long noncoding RNA, in mediating endothelial cell dysfunction through endothelial-mesenchymal transition (EndMT) under inflammatory and hyperglycemic stimuli, aiming to uncover potential therapeutic targets for ASO. Differential expression of lncRNAs, including MAGOH-DT, was initially identified in arterial tissues from ASO patients compared to healthy controls through lncRNA microarray analysis.

l-Phenylalanine is an important amino acid that is widely used in the production of food flavors and pharmaceuticals. Generally, l-phenylalanine production by engineered Escherichia coli requires a high rate of oxygen supply. However, the coexpression of Vitreoscilla hemoglobin gene (vgb), driven bya tac promoter, with the genes encoding 3-deoxy-d-arabinoheptulosonate-7-phosphate synthetase (aroF) and feedback-resistant chorismate mutase/prephenate dehydratase (pheA ), led to increased productivity and decreased demand for aeration by E.

A novel 2,4,5-triaryl-substituted imidazole (IZCM-1) has been found to display distinct and specific fluorescence enhancement upon binding to parallel G-quadruplexes. Such a sensitive and topology-specific probe is able to light up without affecting the topology or thermal stability of the G-quadruplex sample. Thus, these advantages distinguish IZCM-1 from other G-quadruplex probes.
