Objective: This study aims to investigate the diagnostic, biochemical, and hematological characteristics of patients with gouty arthritis and analyze their correlations with baseline characteristics to guide clinical practice, develop personalized treatment strategies, and improve patient outcomes.

Methods: A single-center retrospective analysis was conducted on 8,344 patients with acute gouty arthritis admitted to our hospital between January 2014 and December 2023. Baseline characteristics and laboratory data, including uric acid, blood glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), creatinine, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), C-reactive protein (CRP), white blood cell count, neutrophil count, lymphocyte count, monocyte count, fibrinogen, and serum albumin, were collected.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the real-world impact of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) on the efficacy, safety, and metabolic profiles of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF), both with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Pleural mesothelioma (PM), an uncommon yet highly aggressive malignant neoplasm, has a very poor prognosis with a median survival of less than one year after diagnosis, morbidity and mortality due to PM are on the rise year by year worldwide. Our research aims to utilize molecular characteristics and microRNAs (miRNAs) as a breakthrough in predicting the survival of PM patients, hoping to find a molecular mechanism that can predict the survival of PM patients. Methanotroph could facilitate nitrogen removal during methane oxidation, and promote conversion of organic compounds by producing methane monooxygenase. Co-metabolic effect and mechanism of aerobic methane oxidation on the removal of nitrogen and organic matter from Baijiu wastewater were investigated using an improved denitrifying biological filter. It was found that the average removal efficiency of chemical oxygen demand (COD), total nitrogen (TN) and chroma increased by 17 %, 22 % and 10 % in reactor B with methane compared to reactor A with air only.

Vibrational polaritons have shown potential in influencing chemical reactions, but the exact mechanism by which they impact vibrational energy redistribution, crucial for rational polariton chemistry design, remains unclear. In this work, we shed light on this aspect by revealing the role of solvent phonon modes in facilitating the energy relaxation process from the polaritons formed of a mode of W(CO) to an IR inactive mode. Ultrafast dynamic measurements indicate that along with the direct relaxation to the dark modes, lower polaritons also transition to an intermediate state, which then subsequently relaxes to the mode.
