Gongju(Chrysanthemum morifolium) is one of the five major medicinal Chrysanthemum varieties included in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. In recent years, its cultivation areas have changed significantly, resulting in mixed quality of the medicinal herbs. In this study, Gongju cultivated in Anhui, Yunnan, Chongqing, and other places were selected as research objects.

Methods: This study utilized data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database from January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2020. Patients diagnosed with primary breast cancer in 2020 were compared to those diagnosed in 2018 or 2019.
Background: CD276 is a promising immune checkpoint molecule with significant therapeutic potential. Several clinical trials are currently investigating CD276-targeted therapies.
Purpose: This study aims to assess the prognostic significance of CD276 expression levels and to predict its expression using a radiomic approach in breast cancer (BC).
Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Trichosanthis pericarpium (TP; Gualoupi, pericarps of Trichosanthes kirilowii Maxim) has been used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to reduce heat, resolve phlegm, promote Qi, and clear chest congestion. It is also an essential herbal ingredient in the "Gualou Xiebai" formula first recorded by Zhang Zhongjing (from the Eastern Han Dynasty) in the famous TCM classic "Jin-Guì-Yào-Lüe" for treating chest impediments. According to its traditional description, Gualou Xiebai is indicated for symptoms of chest impediments, which correspond to coronary heart diseases (CHD).

Generating realistic 3D human motion has been a fundamental goal of the game/animation industry. This work presents a novel transition generation technique that can bridge the actions of people in the foreground by generating 3D poses and shapes in-between photos, allowing 3D animators/novice users to easily create/edit 3D motions. To achieve this, we propose an adaptive motion network (ADAM-Net) that effectively learns human motion from masked action sequences to generate kinematically compliant 3D poses and shapes in-between given temporally-sparse photos.

Soil erosion is the main driving force of soil organic carbon (SOC) loss and plays an important role in the global carbon cycle. It is helpful to understand the mechanism of SOC loss under soil erosion by evaluating the main driving factors of SOC loss under soil erosion and their influence degree. Therefore, based on 24 cases published in domestic and foreign journals from 2007 to 2021, this study investigated the effects of soil erosion on SOC loss in China under different climatic factors (climate types, rainfall, and rainfall intensity) and soil factors (soil types, bulk density, and aggregate size) by using Meta-analysis.

The root system of Paeonia suffruticosa was measured to compare the morphological variation and the chemical composition of different grades of MC was discussed according to previous studies. The difference between the main microscopic features of MC powder and the xylem powder is dramatic, the MC powder contains great amount of starch granules and clusters of calcium oxalate, while the xylem powder displays considerable vessels.

Mercury Intrusion Porosimetry and Scanning Electron Microscopy were used to analyze the pore structure and microstructure of CNT/cement composite, respectively. The experimental results showed that multi-walled CNT (MWCNT) could improve to different degrees the mechanical properties (compressive and flexural strengths) and physical performances (shrinkage and water loss) of cement-based materials under drying and freeze-thaw conditions.

Exposure to low Ca(2+) and/or Mg(2+) is tolerated by cardiac myocytes, astrocytes, and neurons, but restoration to normal divalent cation levels paradoxically causes Ca(2+) overload and cell death. This phenomenon has been called the "Ca(2+) paradox" of ischemia-reperfusion. The mechanism by which a decrease in extracellular Ca(2+) and Mg(2+) is "detected" and triggers subsequent cell death is unknown.

In acutely isolated rat hippocampal neurons, direct activation of the platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) receptor or transactivation of the PDGF receptor by D4 dopamine receptors inhibits NMDA-evoked currents in a phospholipase C (PLC)-dependent manner. We have investigated further the ability of D2-class dopamine receptors to modulate NMDA-evoked currents in isolated rat prefrontal cortex (PFC).

Here, we show that in neurons subjected to prolonged oxygen glucose deprivation (OGD), AET unmasks a dominant death mechanism perpetuated by a Ca2+-permeable nonselective cation conductance (IOGD). View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe effects of extracellular pH (pHo) on calcium-sensing non-selective cation (csNSC) channels in cultured mouse hippocampal neurons were investigated using whole-cell voltage-clamp and current-clamp recordings. Decreasing extracellular Ca2+ concentrations ([Ca2+]o) activated slow and sustained inward currents through the csNSC channels. Decreasing pHo activated amiloride-sensitive transient proton-gated currents which decayed to baseline in several seconds.
