Schizophrenia (SCZ) is a common psychiatric disorder that has complex pathological mechanisms. During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic, patients with SCZ had substantially higher rates of infection with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, as well as higher COVID-19 mortality relative to patients without mental disorders. Previous studies suggested that COVID-19 and SCZ both involve the kynurenine metabolic pathway.

[Effect and Safety of a New Conditioning Regimen with Chidamide and BEAM for Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Lymphoma].

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of a new conditioning regimen with chidamide and BEAM for autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT) in patients with lymphoma.

Methods: Medical records and further follow-up data from 85 patients with lymphoma from May 2015 to September 2020 in our hospital were retrospectively collected and analyzed.

Results: Among 85 patients, 52 cases accepted BEAM regimen and 33 cases accepted CBEAM followed by AHSCT.

The optimization and application of photodynamic diagnosis and autofluorescence imaging in tumor diagnosis and guided surgery: current status and future prospects.

Photodynamic diagnosis (PDD) and autofluorescence imaging (AFI) are emerging cancer diagnostic technologies that offer significant advantages over traditional white-light endoscopy in detecting precancerous lesions and early-stage cancers; moreover, they hold promising potential in fluorescence-guided surgery (FGS) for tumors. However, their shortcomings have somewhat hindered the clinical application of PDD and AFI. Therefore, it is imperative to enhance the efficacy of PDD and AFI, thereby maximizing their potential for practical clinical use.

Induction of macroautophagy/autophagy has been established as an important function elicited by the CGAS-STING1 pathway during pathogen infection. However, it remains unknown whether lysosomal activity within the cell in these settings is concurrently enhanced to cope with the increased autophagic flux. Recently, we discovered that the CGAS-STING1 pathway elevates the degradative capacity of the cell by activating lysosome biogenesis.

To investigate the effect of space tightness on inerting of liquid CO. Pottery jar liquor warehouse was selected as the research subject, numerical simulation was utilized to study the spatial inerting and CO migration and distribution under different space tightness degrees and injection flow rates. The results revealed that after injection into the space, CO distributed like an "umbrella", the CO protective layer undergoes a dynamic process of concentration increase and thickness enhancement, achieving upward accumulation and migration of the inert medium protective layer.

Linitis Plastica in a Patient With Previous Breast Cancer: Primary Gastric Cancer or Breast Cancer Metastases?

Background: Linitis plastica is a challenging diagnosis in the setting of a patient with previous breast cancer.

Case Presentation: We present a case of a 74-year-old Chinese Female with a history of breast cancer who presented with epigastric pain, nausea, early satiety, and weight loss of 5 kg in 3 months. Endoscopic diagnosis of linitis plastica was made, but subsequent management plans were dependent on accurate histological assessment in view of her oncological history.

However, whether lysosome function is also modulated by the cGAS-STING pathway remains unknown. Here, we discovered that the cGAS-STING pathway upregulated lysosomal activity by stimulating lysosome biogenesis independently of the downstream protein kinase TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1).

Due to the high enzyme leakage rate of the immobilization method of physical adsorption, we propose a new lipase immobilization method, based on the combination of macroporous resin adsorption and organic polymer coating. The immobilized Candida antarctica lipase B (CALB@resin-CAB) was prepared by combining the macroporous resin adsorption with cellulose acetate butyrate coating, and its structure was characterized by various analytic methods.

An ICH model was established in C57BL/6 mice by intracranial injection of collagenase, after which DSF was used to treat the mice.
