Introduction: Extraarticular deformity (EAD) with knee arthritis is a complex condition involving tri-planar bone deformity with pathological malalignment and chronic soft tissue contracture or laxity in the knee joint. Intraarticular correction by TKA, which was previously performed with conventional manual jig by mechanical alignment technique, had its limits and difficulties especially extensive soft tissue release and risk of jeopardizing the collateral ligaments. Robotic technology allows for reproducible and precise execution of surgical plan and allows adjustment to various new personalised alignment philosophy including functional alignment (FA).

Extrapulmonary symptoms such as cutaneous manifestations are increasingly being reported in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection. The rashes of COVID-19 are usually livedo and purpuric and have been classified into six main patterns. This is the first case reported in Malaysia of ecchymosis associated with COVID-19 occurring on a patient without prior history of coagulopathy.

Purpose: To describe the reduction technique of thoracolumbar burst fracture using percutaneous monoaxial screws and its radiological outcomes compared to polyaxial screws.

Methods: All surgeries were performed by minimally invasive technique with either percutaneous monoaxial or percutaneous polyaxial screws inserted at adjacent fracture levels perpendicular to both superior end plates. Fracture reduction is achieved with adequate rod contouring and distraction maneuver.
