Background And Objectives: This study aims to compare the outcomes of pneumatic retinopexy (PnR) versus pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD).
Materials And Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were performed following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) Guidelines. An electronic search was conducted identifying six comparative studies of PnR versus PPV for RRD enrolling 1,061 patients.
Peripapillary choroidal neovascularisation (PPCNV) associated with optic disc drusen is a rare complication that can result in severe vision impairment in children. We report the first case of paediatric PPCNV secondary to optic disc drusen successfully treated with intravitreal aflibercept. A 6-year-old girl presented with a one week history of reduced vision in her right eye with best-corrected visual acuity of 20/500.

Despite the noticeable orbital asymmetry caused by enophthalmos, the patient has normal visual acuities in both eyes with unremarkable ophthalmic examination. Diagnosis of silent sinus syndrome was confirmed on the CT orbits and paranasal sinuses, showing complete opacification and atelectasis of the maxillary sinus.
