Background: Double-blind placebo-controlled food challenge (DBPCFC) is widely regarded as the "gold standard" to diagnose food allergy. Maximum efforts are made to reduce bias, yet DBPCFCs are costly, time-, and resource-intensive. Less demanding open food challenges are increasingly used in clinical practice.

Background: Dermatological research has traditionally concentrated on evaluating mental comorbidities, neglecting positive concepts like happiness. Initial studies indicate that psoriasis and atopic dermatitis (AD) impair the happiness of those affected. Considering global happiness variations, this study aimed to explore the disease- and country-specific differences in disease-related quality of life and happiness, and potential influential factors on heuristic happiness among psoriasis and AD patients in Europe.

Objectives: The aim of this single-centre cross-sectional study was to evaluate the quality of life in psoriasis patients and the impact of disease on partners and close relatives.
Methods: 250 plaque-type psoriasis patients (58.
Little is known about IL-17 expression in psoriasis and the actual cellular source of IL-17 remains incompletely defined. We show that high numbers of IL-17 + mast cells persisted in resolved lesions after treatment (anti-IL-17A, anti-IL-23, UVB or topical dithranol) and correlated inversely with the time span in remission. IL-17 + mast cells were found in T cell-rich areas and often close to resident memory T cells (T) in active psoriasis and resolved lesional skin.

However, younger children may encounter difficulties in consuming all offered doses during an OFC in the absence of symptoms, resulting in inconclusive outcomes. Our aim is to assess the eliciting dose for objective symptoms among various age groups and determine the necessity of consuming the final dose step during an uneventful OFC to avoid false negative outcomes.

Patients And Methods: Patient characteristics and the first-year treatment effectiveness in biologic-naive patients have been analyzed since 2004 until now, irrespective of treatment switches.
Results: Data from 2,729 patients were eligible for this analysis.
In the literature there is no consensus on the correlation between early systemic intervention and better treatment response in psoriasis. Here we present data on the impact of disease duration (<5 years, 5-<10 years, and ≥10 years) on response to tildrakizumab treatment among patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis from the reSURFACE 1 and reSURFACE 2 phase 3 trials and the TRIBUTE phase 4 study. Overall, there was no significant effect of disease duration on the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index ≤1, ≤3, and ≤5, or the Dermatology Life Quality Index 0-1 response rates.

Objectives: The APPRECIATE study assessed apremilast use in real-world practice and its clinical value to physicians and patients. APPRECIATE was a multinational, observational, retrospective, cross-sectional study.
Numerous bottom current-controlled depositional and erosional features, which together form Contourite Depositional Systems (CDS), have been recognized in deep-water settings over the past decade. Most of these systems are described based on two-dimensional (2D) seismic data, whereas only a few CDS have been characterised from high-resolution 3D data. Here we document a newly identified CDS that formed during the Paleocene within the Morondava Basin, offshore west Madagascar, through analysis of a depth-migrated 3D seismic survey, enhanced by the implementation of seismic attributes.

However, poorer skin improvement as well as higher rates of serious adverse events have been reported for patients under real-world conditions (outside clinical trials). This accounts especially for patients who have already been treated with biologic drugs.

Psoriasis vulgaris occurs with a prevalence of up to 2% in childhood and adolescence. In most cases, diagnosis can be made clinically. We report about a pediatric patient with psoriasis vulgaris who posed a diagnostic challenge due to uncharacteristic manifestation.

This test is time and resource intensive, and conclusions are not always unequivocal as this relies on the interpretation of symptoms. Therefore, an objective marker would improve the accuracy of the diagnostic workup of food allergy.

The objective of this study is to evaluate whether improvement of asthma control is associated with enhanced PA during regular follow-up in children with asthma.
Methods: Children, 6-18 years, with asthma were eligible for inclusion when their asthma was uncontrolled at a regular follow-up visit.
Background: It is of major importance to diagnose food allergy accurately. Current guidelines support the use of oral food challenges to do so. The double-blind placebo-controlled food challenge (DBPCFC) has been regarded as the 'gold standard' for decades.

Objective: To investigate the influence of patient and disease characteristics on drug survival associated with apremilast and to elucidate clinical effectiveness with regard to the psoriasis area and severity index (PASI) reduction.
Methods: This was an observational, retrospective, multicenter analysis from the Austrian Psoriasis Registry.
