Resection of Pulmonary Endometriosis by Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery Using Bronchoscopy as a Preoperative Strategy.

The presence of parenchymal or intrabronchial endometrial tissue is rare and has been reported in <6% of women of childbearing age with thoracic endometriosis. Hemoptysis during the menstrual cycle is the most common clinical presentation. We report a case of pulmonary endometriosis, treated concurrently with the patient's menstrual period, with wedge resection by video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery.
