- The study aimed to validate the Cardiff Acne Disability Index (CADI) in Tamil to better assess the quality of life (QoL) in Tamil-speaking patients with acne, as nearly 90 million people speak Tamil.
- 150 Sri Lankan young adults with acne participated, where the translated CADI and Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) were used alongside the Global Acne Grading System (GAGS) to measure severity and validate results.
- The findings revealed that CADI-Tamil is a reliable (Cronbach's alpha = 0.83) and valid tool for evaluating QoL in Tamil-speaking patients, providing insights for clinicians on how acne affects their patients' lives.
