Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is an emerging global public health challenge worldwide, including Nepal. Social determinants of health (SDOH) play a major role in glycemic control among persons with type 2 DM (T2DM). However, little is known about the association between SDOH and glycemic control among individuals with T2DM in Nepal.

Risk factors associated with uncontrolled blood pressure among patients with non-dialysis chronic kidney disease in Vietnam.

Background: Uncontrolled blood pressure rates are high in patients with non-dialysis chronic kidney disease, worsening the disease progression and leading to end-stage renal disease. However, studies on uncontrolled blood pressure in patients with non-dialysis chronic kidney disease and its associated factors in Vietnam are scarce. This study aimed at identifying uncontrolled blood pressure rates and risk factors associated with uncontrolled blood pressure among Vietnamese patients with non-dialysis chronic kidney disease.

Psychometric properties of the Menopause Specific Quality of Life questionnaire among Thai women with a history of breast cancer.

Purpose: This study evaluated the psychometric properties of the Thai Menopause Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire (MENQOL) instrument in menopausal Thai women with a history of breast cancer.

Methods: Two hundred and ninety women with a history of breast cancer who reported hot flashes completed the Thai MENQOL. Internal consistency reliability and item analysis were used to evaluate the reliability of the Thai MENQOL.

Thai Oncology Nurses' Perceptions of Patient Participation in Acute Cancer Care.

Purpose: Patient participation in care is considered a core component of high-quality nursing care and medical treatment. In the context of cancer care in Thailand, we know very little about the way patient participation in care is perceived and enacted. The aim of this study was to explore Thai oncology nurses' perceptions and understandings of patient participation in their own care during hospitalization.
