Article Synopsis
  • This study evaluated how a structured exercise program affects Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and C reactive protein levels in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
  • A randomized controlled trial involving 54 GDM patients found that those in an exercise group experienced significant improvements in HbA1c and C reactive protein levels after 5 weeks, compared to a control group receiving only dietary and medical interventions.
  • The findings suggest that incorporating a structured exercise regime can be beneficial in managing GDM by lowering these critical health indicators.
