The role of mindfulness and cognitive fusion in predicting self-compassion among patients with schizophrenia: a cross-sectional study.

Background: The exact connection between mindfulness, psychological flexibility, and severity of symptoms within schizophrenia spectrum disorders is mostly undefined and requires additional exploration. This study aimed to determine whether mindfulness, cognitive fusion, and symptom severity predict self-compassion among patients with schizophrenia.

Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive research design was undertaken within the psychiatric in-patient department of Mansoura University Hospitals, situated in El-Mansoura, the administrative centre of Dakahlia governorate in the Delta area, Egypt.

Nursing students' attitudes toward intimate partner violence and its relationship with self-esteem and self-efficacy.

Understanding nursing students' attitudes toward Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is pivotal because it may impact the care and support, they provide victims. This study aimed to explore nursing students' attitudes toward intimate partner violence and its relationship with self-esteem and self-efficacy. A cross-sectional descriptive research design was used in the current study in the faculty of nursing at Mansoura University, Egypt.

Relation Between Emotional Intelligence, Socio-Demographic and Clinical Characteristics of Patients with Depressive Disorders.

The present study aims to assess the emotional intelligence in relation to socio-demographic and clinical characteristics of patients with depressive disorders. A descriptive correlational study was utilized with a sample of (106) depressed patients who were diagnosed by a psychiatrist with depressive disorders at psychiatric outpatient clinics in Mansoura University Hospital. Data were collected through assessing socio demographic and clinical characteristics, assessing level of depression using Beck Depression Inventory BDI-II, and assessing emotional intelligence using Barchard emotional intelligence scales.
