Preparation and characterization of propylthiouracil niosomes.

Propylthiouracil, a lyophobic drug with an antiproliferative activity, was formulated into niosomes using various classes of nonionic surfactants. Feasibility of vesicle formation by the sonication method was evaluated. Size and size distribution was measured by laser diffraction.
