Methodology: A cross-sectional study was carried out from September 2023 to March 2024, involving interviews with frontline staff, administrative personnel, and senior management within MTI-affiliated institutions. The methodology employed, using both qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques.
Heavy metal toxicity in environment has been an increasing issue for last decades, though now the attention has diverted to presence of heavy metals in cosmetic products. The aim of this study was to determine the concentration of selected heavy metals in cosmetic products (lipsticks and foundations) using ICP-OES. Health risk assessment was done by using hazard quotient (HQ) and hazard index (HI).

Methods: The regular monthly collection of algal and water samples was made during 2018. Unicellular algae were preserved in 2 to 3% formalin while macroalgae in 4% formalin.
Pakistan is an agro-economy country where hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) pesticides are being used to improve crop productivity, as a result the risk of contamination of soil and sediment has been increased. HCH exhibits all the characteristics of persistent organic pollutants (POP), and was therefore added to the list of 'new POPs' in 2009. This review report revealed that the major rivers of Pakistan such as the Indus Basin, River Ravi, River Chenab and their tributaries all are contaminated with HCH and the highest residual concentration (4,090 ng/g) was detected in a pesticide burial ground in Hyderabad city.

Both contaminants can alter chemical interactions, processes and impair enzymatic activities in the ecosystem that results in negative impacts on aquatic and terrestrial life. Previously, research has been performed for the fate and transfer of these contaminants individually, but simultaneous removal approaches have not received much attention.

Hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) is a persistent organic pollutant used as a pesticide in agricultural sector for pest control in order to obtain higher productivity. For analysis soil, water and crop residue samples were collected from different agricultural areas of the northern Punjab region of Pakistan.

Background: Post-operative nausea and vomiting is one of the most frequently occurring side effects affecting one third of the cases. Objective of the study was to compare the efficacy of ondansetron alone and ondansetron plus dexamethasone in preventing postoperative nausea and vomiting after middle ear surgery.
Methods: This randomized controlled trial was conducted at the Anaesthesia and ENT departments of Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad from January-June 2012.
The astonishing development of broad genomics and proteomics tools have catalyzed a new era in both therapeutic interventions and nutrition in prostate cancer. The terms pharmacogenomics and nutrigenomics have been derived out of their genetic forbears as large-scale genomics technologies have been established in the last decade. It is unquestionable that rationale of both disciplines is to individualize or personalize medicine and food and nutrition, and eventually health, by tailoring the drug or the food to the individual genotype.
