Fatty liver disease (FLD), a chronic liver disease characterized by excessive lipid deposition, is affecting more and more people worldwide owing to the increasing global incidence of obesity and heavy alcohol consumption. However, there is still no effective strategy for prevention or treatment of alcohol and high-fat diet (HFD)-induced FLD. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of curcumol on alcohol and HFD-induced FLD and the underlying molecular mechanisms.

Purpose: To comprehensively investigate the diagnostic performance of routinely used assays in MPXV testing, the National Center of Clinical Laboratories in China conducted a nationwide external quality assessment (EQA) scheme and an evaluated nine assays used by ≥ 5 laboratories in the EQA.
Methods: MPXV virus-like particles with 2700, 900 and 300 copies/mL were distributed to 195 EQA laboratories. For extended analysis, triple-diluted samples from 9000 to 4.
Background And Aims: A pilot external quality assessment (EQA) scheme for molecular detection of Ureaplasma urealyticum (UU) was conducted by the National Center for Clinical Laboratories (NCCL) to evaluate the testing capabilities of clinical laboratories and the actual performance of DNA-based nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT) and RNA-based NAATs when applied in clinical settings.
Materials And Methods: The EQA panel contained twelve lyophilized samples, including positive samples containing inactivated cell culture supernatants of UU at different concentrations and sterile saline for negative samples. The positive samples were further divided into three groups of high, moderate and low concentrations.
Objectives: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) antigen detection is an indispensable tool for epidemic surveillance in the post-pandemic era. Faced with irregular performance, a comprehensive external quality assessment (EQA) scheme was conducted by the National Center for Clinical Laboratories (NCCL) to evaluate the analytical performance and status of SARS-CoV-2 antigen tests.
Methods: The EQA panel included ten lyophilized samples containing serial 5-fold dilutions of inactivated SARS-CoV-2-positive supernatants of the Omicron BA.
Liver disease has high prevalence, number, and disease burden in China, and polyene phosphatidyl choline (PPC) is a widely used liver protective drug. We aim to explore the effectiveness and economy of PPC in patients with liver diseases based on real-world research and compare with other hepatoprotective drugs. This is a "three-phase" study from three medical centers, including descriptive study of patients using PPC injection, self-control case study of patients using PPC injection, and specific-disease cohort study of patients using PPC injection or control drugs.

Bibliometrics could assist scholars to analyze the development of pharmacovigilance. The MeSH terms of both pharmacovigilance and "adverse drug reaction reporting system" were retrieved in the Science Citation Index Expanded.

It is formulated through encapsulation in a lipid microsphere carrier, and widely used to treat perioperative pain. Here, we studied the distribution of R (-)- and S (+)-flurbiprofen in human plasma and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) after intravenous injection of flurbiprofen axetil.

The main cause of WMI is damage to the oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPC) in the brain that results in delayed myelin sheath formation, or the destruction of existing myelin sheaths. OPC undergo highly regulated and strictly timed developmental changes that result in their transformation to mature oligodendrocytes capable of myelin production.

The aims of this study were to build a population pharmacokinetic model of CsA in Chinese children with hematopathy who received allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) and to identify covariates affecting CsA pharmacokinetics. A total of 86 Chinese children aged 8.

Materials And Methods: HSP rat model was established and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) were isolated.
Objective: The aim of this meta-analysis was to determine the efficacy and safety of glyburide as a treatment for gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) compared to insulin.
Methods: A meta-analysis was conducted to compare the management of gestational diabetes with glyburide and insulin. Studies fulfilling all of the following inclusion criteria were included in this meta-analysis: subjects were women with gestational diabetes requiring drug treatment; the comparison treatment included glyburide vs insulin; one or more outcomes (maternal or neonatal) should be provided in the individual study; the study design should be a randomized control trial.
Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of exposure to different antithyroid drugs during pregnancy on the incidence of neonatal congenital malformations.
Methods: A meta-analysis was performed to compare the incidence of neonatal congenital malformations after exposure to different antithyroid drugs during pregnancy. Twelve studies that met the inclusion criteria were included in this meta-analysis.
Studies have shown hydroxyfasudil-mediated inhibition of Rho-kinase (ROCK) has efficacy in rodent models of focal ischemia and in in vitro systems that recapitulate stroke conditions. However, the mechanisms underlying the neuroprotective effects of the ROCK inhibitor on stroke are not well understood. In this study, we examined the role of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) interneurons in the effects of hydroxyfasudil on transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO) induced acute ischemia-reperfusion injury to explore the mechanisms.

Substance dependence is a chronic relapsing disorder, which appears to involve neuroadaptive changes in cellular signaling and downstream gene expression. The unchanged consumption of present substances and increasing demand for new psychostimulants make the development of novel management/treatment strategies challenging.
