The state of dormancy can be induced by multiple conditions including cancer drug treatment, in turn, undergoes a life cycle that generally occurs through dissemination, invasion, intravasation, circulation, immune evasion, extravasation, and colonization.

This study aimed to develop a hybrid model combining radiomics and deep learning features derived from computed tomography (CT) images to classify histological subtypes of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). We analyzed CT images and radiomics features from 235 patients with NSCLC, including 110 with adenocarcinoma (ADC) and 112 with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The dataset was split into a training set (75%) and a test set (25%).

Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of CT-based CSPH on outcomes following hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Methods: This retrospective single-center study included patients with advanced chronic liver disease (ACLD) who underwent hepatectomy for very early or early-stage HCC between January 2017 and December 2018.

Safety and Effectiveness of a Novel Integrated Angiography System for Continuous Guidance and Flushing in Diagnostic Cerebral Catheter Angiography: A Randomized Controlled Trial.

Background And Purpose: The guided angiography system, an integrated angiography system, enables continuous guidance and flushing during diagnostic procedures. A guidewire provides guidance by remaining inside the catheter during contrast injection into tortuous vessels. While its feasibility was demonstrated in a retrospective study, this randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate its safety and effectiveness.

Introduction: The functions of S1P receptors have been revealed using genetic and pharmacological tools, including the potent non-selective modulator FTY720. However, studies on subtype-specific agonists and antagonists are limited; hence, the role of S1P remains unclear.

This review systematically examined the effects of lipids on beef flavor, based on studies published over the past 20 years, focusing on the intrinsic factors that influence flavor. Research shows that enhancing beefy and roasted aromas can improve consumer preference, while undesirable oxidized and metallic aromas reduce acceptance. Key volatile organic compounds (VOCs) associated with flavor include several aldehydes (hexanal, nonanal, decanal, octanal, heptanal, pentanal, and (E,E)-2,4-decadienal), alcohols (1-octen-3-ol and 1-hexanol), 2-heptanone, 2-pentylfuran, and nitrogen- and sulfur-containing compounds (pyrazines and dimethyl sulfides).

A search is presented for an extended Higgs sector with two new particles, X and ϕ, in the process X→ϕϕ→(γγ)(γγ). Novel neural networks classify events with diphotons that are merged and determine the diphoton masses. The search uses LHC proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13  TeV collected with the CMS detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138  fb^{-1}.

Background: Given the limited understanding of individuals' positive gains, this study aimed to identify these gains that could be leveraged by policymakers to enhance future health and societal resilience.

Methods: We used a global qualitative approach to survey adults over 18 from 30 countries across six World Health Organization (WHO) regions, who detailed up to three personal positive gains from COVID-19 pandemic via an open-ended question. Inductive thematic analysis was employed to identify main themes, and quantitative methods were used for demographic and regional comparisons based on the percentage of responses for each theme.

Improved Results Over Time With Bridge-to-Lung Transplantation: A 10-Year Experience of a Single High-Volume Center.

When donor scarcity limits timely lung transplantation (LTx), extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) as a bridge to transplantation (BTT) can prolong survival and delay deconditioning until the donor lungs become available. We reviewed 10-year BTT experiences of a single high-volume center, where 99 (59%) were on ECMO BTT among 169 eligible adult LTx cases. Both 28-day and 2-year survivals did not differ between BTT and non-BTT.

Methods: In this multicenter, randomized, double-blind, active-control, phase III study, 326 patients with endoscopically proven gastric mucosal erosion were randomly assigned to receive either HIP2101 or RLD2101 once daily for 2 weeks.

Robot-Assisted Gait Training in Older Patients with Comorbid Conditions: A Pilot Study.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of robot-assisted gait training (RAGT) in older patients with neurological gait disorder accompanied by various comorbidities.
