A micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology (MSDO) standardized letter of recommendation (SLOR) was created to improve the efficiency, validity, and stratification of applicants to dermatology fellowship training programs.
Objective: To analyze the MSDO SLOR for trends in grading based on letter-writer and applicant characteristics and to evaluate its ability to demonstrate differences between applicants.

We validated TetRP by confirming the translation start sites of protein-coding genes in accordance with the 2006 version of Escherichia coli K-12 annotation record (GenBank U000962) and found ∼150 new start sites within 60 nucleotides of the annotated site. In this report, we describe the catalytic kinetic resolution of disubstituted piperdines with practical selectivity factors (s, up to 52) in which we uncovered an unexpected and pronounced conformational effect resulting in disparate reactivity and selectivity between the cis- and trans-substituted piperidine isomers. Detailed experimental and computational studies of the kinetic resolution of various disubstituted piperidines revealed a strong preference for the acylation of conformers in which the α-substituent occupies the axial position.

Nonribosomal peptide synthetases (NRPSs) are multifunctional enzymes that produce a wide array of bioactive peptides. Here we show that a single tryptophan-to-serine mutation in phenylalanine-specific NRPS adenylation domains enables the efficient activation of non-natural aromatic amino acids functionalized with azide and alkyne groups.
