The advantages of exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months are well-known. Unfortunately, adolescent mothers have lower rates of breastfeeding exclusivity and shorter duration of breastfeeding. There is limited evidence regarding exclusive breastfeeding determinants in adolescent mothers.
