The Sangdanlin section in southern Tibet represents a geologic Rosetta stone to constrain the initiation of the India-Asia collision from its sedimentary and paleomagnetic records. However, geoscientists have arrived at fundamentally divergent interpretations surrounding the age of the strata and its paleomagnetic record. Here, we report paleontologic, petrographic, and paleomagnetic data from the Sangdanlin section that recognize the sequence as a thrust complex containing interlaced Barremian-Albian (Early Cretaceous) and Paleocene strata, each separated by thrust faults.

Many clinical trials of kinesin spindle protein (KSP) inhibitors have failed due to issues such as high toxicity and a short circulation half-life in vivo. To address the limitations of current KSP inhibitors and thus broad its use in antitumor therapy, this study applied antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) technology to the KSP inhibitor SB-743921, which was coupled with the HER2-specific antibody trastuzumab using a cathepsin B-dependent valine-alanine (Val-Ala, VA) dipeptide-type linker to generate H2-921. Ex vivo and in vivo analyses of H2-921 showed an increased half-life of SB-743921 and prolonged contact time with tumor cells.

This research aims to improve the durability of skid resistance of asphalt pavement from the perspective of coarse aggregates based on on-site investigation. Firstly, the skid resistance of six representative actual roads was tested during two years by employing the Dynamic Friction Tester and the attenuation characteristics of skid resistance of different types of asphalt pavements were analyzed. Ischemia-reperfusion injury occurs after reperfusion treatment for patients suffering myocardial infarction, however the underlying mechanisms are incompletely understood and effective pharmacological interventions are limited. Here, we report the identification and characterization of the FDA-approved drug disulfiram (DSF) as a cardioprotective compound. By applying high-throughput chemical screening, we found that DSF decreased HO-induced cardiomyocyte death by inhibiting Gasdermin D, but not ALDH1, in cardiomyocytes.

The supermoiré lattice, built by stacking two moiré patterns, provides a platform for creating flat mini-bands and studying electron correlations. An ultimate challenge in assembling a graphene supermoiré lattice is in the deterministic control of its rotational alignment, which is made highly aleatory due to the random nature of the edge chirality and crystal symmetry. Employing the so-called "golden rule of three", here we present an experimental strategy to overcome this challenge and realize the controlled alignment of double-aligned hBN/graphene/hBN supermoiré lattice, where the twist angles between graphene and top/bottom hBN are both close to zero.

An adaptive cooperative optimization seagull algorithm for optimal coverage of heterogeneous sensor networks is proposed in order to address the issue of coverage blind zone and coverage redundancy in the initial random deployment of heterogeneous sensor network nodes in the sensing layer of the Internet of Things. Barley landraces accumulated variation in adapting to extreme highland environments during long-term domestication in Tibet, but little is known about their population structure and genomic selection traces. Although terahertz (THz) spectroscopy demonstrates great application prospects in the fields of fingerprint sensing and detection, traditional sensing schemes face unavoidable limitations in the analysis of trace-amount samples. In this Letter, a novel, to the best of our knowledge, absorption spectroscopy enhancement strategy based on a defect one-dimensional photonic crystal (1D-PC) structure is proposed to achieve strong wideband terahertz wave-matter interactions for trace-amount samples. Based on the Fabry-Pérot resonance effect, the local electric field in a thin-film sample can be boosted by changing the length of the photonic crystal defect cavity, so that the wideband signal of the sample fingerprint can be greatly enhanced.
