The quantum-well-like two-dimensional lead-halide perovskites exhibit strongly confined excitons due to the quantum confinement and reduced dielectric screening effect, which feature intriguing excitonic effects. The ionic nature of the perovskite crystal and the "softness" of the lattice induce the complex lattice dynamics. There are still open questions about how the soft lattices decorate the nature of excitons in these hybrid materials.

The electrochemical activation and partial oxidation of methane are highly attractive to enable the direct conversion in a sustainable and decentralized way. Herein, we report an electrochemical system in a non-diaphragm electrochemical bath to convert CH to CHOH and CHCHOH at room temperature, in which VO·HO as the anodic catalyst to activate CH and an aprotic ionic liquid [BMIM]BF as supporting electrolyte to control superoxide radicals (O) as the main active oxygen species generated on cathode. As a result, methanol and ethanol were identified as the liquid products, and the superior methanol Faraday efficiency (FE) of 32.

In our study, IgY was embedded in a double emulsion (W/O/W; DE) to explore the therapeutic effect of the embedded IgY on Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced jejunal injury in mice. The results showed that W/O/W-embedded IgY as a dietary supplement (IgY + DE) attenuated LPS-induced damage to mouse small intestinal structures and protected the integrity of the jejunal mucosal barrier.

With the widespread use of ICIs in cancer therapy, immune-related adverse events (irAEs) have gradually emerged as urgent clinical issues. Tumors not only exhibit high heterogeneity, and their response to ICIs varies, with "hot" tumors showing better anti-tumor effects but also a higher susceptibility to irAEs.

Inoculating zinc solubilizing microorganisms (ZSMs) is considered as a promising strategy for increasing Zn phytoavailability in soils with low Zn availability. In present study, we screened six strains of ZSMs from rhizosphere of green manure crop, including three strains of fungi, , and three strains of bacteria, . We conducted a pot experiment of Bok choy inoculated with different ZSMs to analyze the Zn content in shoots and roots, and compared the Zn solubilizing effect of ZSMs.

The in-depth research on the charge transport properties of BN-embedded polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (BN-PAHs) still lags far behind studies of their emitting properties. Herein, we report the successfully synthesis of novel ladder-type BN-PAHs (BCNL1 and BCNL2) featuring a highly ordered BCN acene unit, achieved via a nitrogen-directed tandem C-H borylation. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis unambiguously revealed their unique and compact herringbone packing structures.

However, procurement of large flaps can cause significant defects, complicating wound closure and increasing postoperative risks. This study details the surgical techniques and outcomes of autologous vertical rectus abdominis myocutaneous (VRAM) flap transplantation and neck flap isolation with induced ischemia in a swine model.

Previous studies have demonstrated a correlation between dietary salt intake and stroke; however, there was a lack of conclusive evidence regarding a causal connection between them. We undertook a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) study to examine their potential association. The genome-wide data for dietary salt intake was sourced from genome-wide association study that involved 462,630 samples.

Methods: Utilizing the dataset from the 2017-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data release cycle, our study encompassed 3538 adult participants within the age range of 20 to 80 years.
High-voltage LiCoO is a promising cathode material for ultrahigh-energy lithium-ion batteries, particularly in the commercialization of 5G technology. However, achieving long-term operational stability remains a significant challenge. Herein, a quaterpolymer additive with multiple functional groups is introduced to enhance the electrochemical performance of LiCoO cathode at 4.

The classical presentation of ZS includes unilateral renal hypoplasia or dysplasia, ipsilateral seminal vesicle cysts, and obstruction of the ejaculatory duct. This case presents a rare variant of the syndrome, where an ejaculatory duct cyst is observed instead of the typical ipsilateral seminal vesicle cyst.

The enhanced-efficiency nitrogen fertilizers (EENFs), such as urease inhibitors (NBPT), nitrification inhibitors (DCD), and coated controlled-release urea (RCN), have been proven to be effective measures for reducing nitrogen fertilizer application. However, the effects of EENFs on soil quality (SQI), microbial metabolic characteristics, and soil ecosystem multifunctionality (EMF) and their internal relationships are still unclear.

The protein consists of a N-terminal catalytic domain and a C-terminal polo-box domain (PBD) that determines subcellular localization and substrate specificity. Here, an integrated strategy is described to explore the vast structural diversity space of Snk PBD-binding phosphopeptides at a molecular level using machine learning modeling, annealing optimization, dynamics simulation, and energetics rescoring, focusing on the recognition specificity and motif preference of the Snk PBD domain.

A self-developed Michelson interferometer (MI) is used to demodulate the frequency signal via an electrically controlled optical shifter. The two complementary outputs from the interferometer are detected using a balanced detector, which suppresses the common-mode noise of the fiber link.

Palmitic acid-9-hydroxystearic acid (9-PAHSA) is a new class of bioactive anti-inflammatory lipids widely distributed in vegetables, fruits and medicinal plants, especially broccoli and apple. However, the pharmacological effects and underlying mechanisms of 9-PAHSA in protecting- against cardiac microvascular I/R injury have rarely been studied.
