Background: Health education and promotion are recognized as effective strategies for fostering healthy ageing, reducing the disease burden, and addressing health inequalities, particularly when delivered through digital media. Primary care workers are often regarded as the key providers of these interventions. Despite the strong practical significance and substantial individual demand, the use of digital media for delivering health promotion practices was not widespread in China.

This study aimed to determine the prognostic value of LA strain in stage II AL-CA.
Methods: Patients with stage II AL-CA who underwent cardiac magnetic resonance at Peking Union Medical College Hospital between January 1, 2015, and October 31, 2021, were consecutively enrolled in this cohort study.
Background: Recent evidence underlined the importance of cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) in light chain amyloidosis (AL amyloidosis). We aimed to comprehensively assess the prognostic significance of CMR parametric mapping in AL amyloidosis.
Methods: This prospective study consecutively included AL amyloidosis patients who underwent CMR imaging before therapy.
The external field-assisted hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), beyond modifying electrocatalysts themselves, has garnered significant research attention. However, achieving synergy between multiple fields to enhance the HER performance remains challenging and is not well-explored. Here, NiMnIn Heusler alloy thin films are fabricated using pulsed laser deposition on flexional Cu substrates.

Nickel molybdate, which has a relatively high theoretical capacity, demonstrates potential for use in supercapacitors. However, its inferior electrical conductivity and cycling stability have led to poor electrochemical performance. Nanostructure engineering of NiMoO is an efficient strategy to overcome its performance limitations as an electrode.

Methods: This prospective multicenter study included patients with suspected coronary artery disease who had undergone coronary CTA and CTP and were followed for 6 years. The endpoint was time-to-first major adverse cardiovascular event (MACE).
Background: Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) is a major cause for low back pain. Studies showed the association between senescence and degenerative diseases. Cell senescence can promote the occurrence and development of degenerative diseases through multiple mechanisms including inflammatory stress, oxidative stress and nutritional deprivation.

The shared per-macropixel SRAM architecture provides a 128 × 128 macropixel resolution, with parallel autocorrelation computation, with a minimum autocorrelation lag-time of 1 µs. We demonstrate the direct, on-chip computation of the autocorrelation function of the sensor, and its capability to resolve changes in decorrelation times typical of body tissue in real time, at long source-detector separations similar to those achieved by the current leading optical modalities for cerebral blood flow monitoring.

The global outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) can cause severe ARDS, resulting in a steep rise in the number of patient deaths. Therefore, it is important to explore the pathogenesis of ALI and find effective therapeutic agents.

Purpose To evaluate the feasibility of 5-T myocardial late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) MRI in assessing myocardial fibrosis by comparing image quality and LGE quantification with reference-standard 3-T myocardial LGE MRI. Materials and Methods Consecutive patients with confirmed myocardial fibrosis on previous 3-T MRI scans between January 2023 and July 2023 prospectively underwent follow-up imaging from August 2023 to November 2023.

Current chemodrugs and diagnostic agents largely fail to cross the barrier posed by the ECM, which severely limits the PDAC theranostics. This study introduces a novel theranostic strategy using thioether-hybridized hollow mesoporous organosilica nanoparticles (dsMNs) for the co-delivery of copper (Cu) and disulfiram (DSF), aiming to induce cuproptosis in PDAC cells.

Materials And Methods: This study included 157 patients who underwent coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA), CTP, and invasive coronary angiography (ICA), including fractional flow reserve (FFR). Hemodynamically significant stenosis was defined by FFR and ICA.
Exploring the mechanisms underlying abnormal glycemic traits is important for deciphering type 2 diabetes and characterizing novel drug targets. This study aimed to decipher the causal associations of circulating proteins with fasting glucose (FG), 2-h glucose after an oral glucose challenge (2hGlu), fasting insulin (FI), and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) using large-scale proteome-wide Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses. Genetic data on plasma proteomes were obtained from 10 proteomic genome-wide association studies.

Background: Patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH) secondary to left heart failure (HF) exhibit a complex pathophysiological profile and poor prognosis. Left atrial (LA) function is pivotal in the progression of this disease, yet its predictive significance remains exclusive. This study aimed to explore the predictive capability of LA metrics in this population and compare them with other common predictors.

Background: Aberrant functional connectivity is a hallmark of schizophrenia. The precise nature and mechanism of dysconnectivity in schizophrenia remains unclear, but evidence suggests that dysconnectivity is different in wake versus sleep. Microstate analysis uses electroencephalography (EEG) to investigate large-scale patterns of coordinated brain activity by clustering EEG data into a small set of recurring spatial patterns, or microstates.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAims: Earlier studies have indicated an association between the TIMP1 polymorphism and the risk of certain autoimmune diseases, as well as a link between higher TIMP1 levels and blood-brain barrier (BBB) disruption in neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD). This study aimed to explore the correlation between TIMP1 polymorphism and NMOSD phenotypes.
Methods: Genotyping of three loci (rs4898, rs2070584, rs6609533) in the TIMP1 gene was performed in 126 NMOSD patients and 213 healthy controls (HCs) from North China using the SNaPshot sequencing technique, and a correlation analysis was done between phenotypes and TIMP1 genotype.
Background: This study aimed to investigate the effects of meticulous nursing care (MNC) for patients with coronary heart disease undergoing coronary CT angiography (CCTA).
Methods: We conducted a comprehensive search of the Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMBASE, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Wangfang databases from inception to January 1, 2024. Randomized clinical trials (RCTs) evaluating the effects of MNC for CCTA were included.
During the operational phase of offshore wind farms, the generation of low-frequency underwater noise has received widespread attention due to its potential adverse impact on fish health. This study conducted a field survey of underwater noise at offshore wind farms located in Shandong province, China. Subsequently, a small-scale experiment was conducted to study the stress on black rockfish (Sebastes schlegelii).
