Materials And Methods: In this study, a network pharmacology-based strategy was used to elucidate the mechanism of GGQLD for the treatment of RVE. Oral bioavailability and drug-likeness were taken as the judgment criteria to search the active ingredients of GGQLD in traditional Chinese medicine systems pharmacology database and analysis platform (TCMSP). The affinity between protein and ingredients was further determined using the similarity ensemble approach to find the corresponding targets.

Although there are substantial studies investigating the neural mechanisms of aggressive or defensive behavior in male rodents, little attention has been paid to the mechanisms underlying agonistic behaviors in females. In the present study, we depicted patterns of agonistic behaviors in sexually naïve female Mongolian gerbils (Meriones unguiculatus) and examined the neuronal activation in the brain by Fos-immunoreactive (Fos-ir) staining.

Metal-Catalyzed Hydrogenation of Biomass-Derived Furfural: Particle Size Effects and Regulation Strategies.

The hydrogenation of furfural (FUR), a typical bio-based furan derivative, is a critical reaction within the roadmap for upgrading lignocellulosic biomass into high value-added chemicals and liquid fuels, the performance of which is strongly correlated with the catalysts' intrinsic peculiarities. Metal catalysts with tailorable sizes, uniform dispersions and robust sintering resistance are generally recognized as a prerequisite for obtaining better hydrogenation activity, selectivity and stability, which has prompted intensive research into metal particle size effects and their regulation strategies. The roles of metal particle sizes and corresponding dispersions of metal catalysts used for FUR hydrogenation have been clearly recognized to be crucial over the past decade.

Lentivirus-Mediated Overexpression of SIVA-1 Reverses Cisplatin Resistance in Gastric Cancer in vitro.

SIVA-1 plays a critical role in the induction of apoptosis in a number of different cell lines and participates in the mechanism of cisplatin (DDP)-mediated antitumor effects. However, the involvement of SIVA-1 in cisplatin resistance in gastric carcinoma has not been revealed. [Fast Start-Up ANAMMOX Operation Strategy and Flora Characteristics of a Biofilter].

To achieve the rapid start-up of anaerobic ammonia oxidation (ANAMMOX) reaction at room temperature and sludge granulation, a small amount of ANAMMOX sludge was inoculated by an upflow biological filter reactor, and ANAMMOX was started by stage variable load and shortening hydraulic residence time (HRT) operation strategy. The reaction was evaluated, and the nitrogen removal characteristics of the biofilter were evaluated. The results showed that the biofilter started the ANAMMOX reaction in a medium-temperature (25-29℃) environment for 22 days.

To solve the problems of a slow start, easy loss, and easily inhibited activity of the Anammox bacteria suspension culture, polyvinyl alcohol-polypropylene (PVA-PP) was used to prepare the Anammox immobilized filler. To improve the activity of Anammox bacteria and ensure stable operation of the reaction system, the effects of COD interference, change in pH value, and rotating speed on the nitrogen removal characteristics of the immobilized filler were determined in batch tests. Changes in the structure and diversity of the bacteria in the filler were analyzed by a high-throughput sequencing technique.

A big data approach to improving the vehicle emission inventory in China.

Estimating truck emissions accurately would benefit atmospheric research and public health protection. Here, we developed a full-sample enumeration approach TrackATruck to bridge low-frequency but full-size vehicles driving big data to high-resolution emission inventories. Based on 19 billion trajectories, we show how big the emission difference could be using different approaches: 99% variation coefficients on regional total (including 31% emissions from non-local trucks), and ± as large as 15 times on individual counties.

This retrospective study examines the procedure time, time interval between interventions, blood loss during operation, post-operative complications and pain scores among patients who received either CO2 laser or radiofrequency coblation interventions for laryngotracheal recurrent respiratory papillomatosis.

The classification of the distinct group of mesenchymal neoplasms, first described as 'Xp11 translocation perivascular epithelioid cell tumor (PEComa)' and for which the term 'melanotic Xp11 neoplasm' or 'Xp11 neoplasm with melanocytic differentiation' has recently been proposed, remains challenging and controversial. We collected 27 melanotic Xp11 neoplasms, the largest series to date, for a comprehensive evaluation. Fourteen of the cases, together with eight alveolar soft part sarcomas (ASPS), nine conventional PEComas and a control group of seven normal tissues were submitted to RNA sequencing.

These data were combined with 51 previously sequenced Polyphaga mitogenomes to explore the higher-level relationships within Polyphaga by using four different mitogenomic datasets and three tree inference approaches. Among Polyphaga mitogenomes we observed heterogeneity in nucleotide composition and evolutionary rates, which may have affected phylogenetic inferences across the different mitogenomic datasets.

Background: Sub-threshold depression is common and could impair function, as well as increase the risk of developing major depression. Despite evidence of efficacy for electroacupuncture (EA) and counseling in the treatment of sub-threshold depression, the sample size is insufficient and the level of evidence remains low. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of sub-threshold depression treatments by comparing the treatment effects among EA, counseling, and combination therapy, as well as to further study their mechanism.
