Objective: To compare the effectiveness of clavicular hook plates and Endobutton plates in treating unstable distal clavicle fractures (UDCFs).
Methods: Data from 95 patients with UDCFs (Neer II and V types) were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 55 cases were treated with clavicular hook plates (control group), and 40 cases with Endobutton plates (research group).

Previous studies revealed that several miRNAs exhibited the capacity for diagnosis and prognosis of AMI, the reasons why these circulating miRNAs are concerned as targets for investigation are quite cryptogenic, presumably due to the lack of clues provided by global surveillance at the transcriptome level, and the current data for some miRNAs are controversial and inconsistent among independent studies.
Methods: To comprehensively profiling the potential miRNAs for diagnosis and prognosis of AMI, we reported transcriptomes of circulating miRNAs in the plasma of 27 healthy controls, 64 AMI patients (37 STEMI and 27 NSTEMI) and 20 AMI patients who were subjected to reperfusion therapy.

Drug resistance is vital for the poor prognosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients, but the underlying mechanism remains poorly understood. Given the unique microenvironment of bone marrow, we reasoned that drug resistance of AML might rely on distinct metabolic processes. Here, we identify succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) deficiency and over-cumulative succinate as typical features in AML, with a marked function in causing the resistance of AML cells to various anti-cancer therapies.

Background: For patients with de novo stage IV breast cancer (BC), the conditions under which the primary tumor resection (PTR) may offer benefit remain unclear.
Methods: The SEER database provides treatment data for patients with de novo stage IV BC. We screened cases of metastatic BC diagnosed from 2010 to 2015, with primary endpoints of overall survival (OS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS).
The protein kinase PKMYT1 is responsible for inhibitory CDK1 phosphorylation, thus playing a central role in regulating the G2/M cell cycle checkpoint. As many cancers have dysfunctional cell cycle checkpoint signaling, PKMYT1 inhibition is emerging as an attractive target in advanced tumors. PKMYT1 inhibitors, however, have encountered difficulties in balancing biological efficacy, on-target specificity, and favorable stability and other drug-like properties.
