The interactions between riboflavin (RF) and human and bovine serum albumin (HSA and BSA) were studied by using absorption and fluorescence spectroscopic methods. Intrinsic fluorescence emission spectra of serum albumin in the presence of RF show that the endogenous photosensitizer acts as a quencher. The decrease of fluorescence intensity at about 350 nm is attributed to changes in the environment of the protein fluorophores caused by the ligand.

Methods: After extracted liquid from Qianlietongyu treated the cultured prostatic smooth muscle cells, the anti proliferative and apoptotic indices were assessed by MTT assy and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) respectively.
Results: There was a significant dose-effect relationship between the concentration of extracted liquid from Qianlietongyu and the antiproliferative index on prostatic smooth muscle cells in vitro (P < 0.

Objective: To explore the relationship of bacteria identified in cholesterol gallstones and gallstone formation.
Methods: Observe the bacteria activity in model bile and the influence of bacteria on the cholesterol nucleation time (NT).
Results: (1) Model bile were suitable for the growth of E.
Free radical reactions of Martynoside (MAR), a phenylpropanoid glycoside, with a variety of oxidants were studied in the aqueous solution by laser photolysis and pulse radiolysis techniques. The pKa value of MAR in aqueous solution was measured from the pH dependent changes of the UV absorption at 384 nm with value of pKa = 9.2.

The radical anion of dT was formed by the reaction of hydrated electron with dT. After pulse irradiation of nitrogen-saturated aqueous solutions containing dT, 0.

It was demonstrated that the oxidizing OH* radical efficiently reacted with Cu4Zn3MT-III by forming a thiyl radical RS* with a second-order constant of 1.46 x 10(11) mol l(-1) s(-1), which was determined by competition kinetics against KSCN.

In the micro-spore stage, there were more differential bands of cDNA-AFLP than that in the meio-phase stage.
