Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is the second most common lethal liver cancer worldwide. Currently, despite the latest developments in genomics and transcriptomics for ICC in recent years, the molecular pathogenesis promoting ICC remains elusive, especially in regulatory mechanisms of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), which acts as competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA). Dicer, as a member of ribonuclease III family, functions in RNA interference (RNAi) pathway to direct sequence-specific degradation of cognate mRNA. Background: The outcomes in patients with pancreatic or ampulla tumors remain unsatisfactory, especially with invasion into the hepatic artery (HA) or the superior mesenteric artery (SMA). Accumulating evidences suggest that the enhanced immune responses and increased protection against bacteria-induced mortality can be initiated after the primary exposure to various microbial communities and their components in various organisms including commercially valuable crustaceans. Methods for estimating the spatial distribution of PM concentrations have been developed but have not yet been able to effectively include spatial correlation. We report on the development of a spatial back-propagation neural network (S-BPNN) model designed specifically to make such correlations implicit by incorporating a spatial lag variable (SLV) as a virtual input variable. The S-BPNN fits the nonlinear relationship between ground-based air quality monitoring station measurements of PM, satellite observations of aerosol optical depth, meteorological synoptic conditions data and emissions data that include auxiliary geographical parameters such as land use, normalized difference vegetation index, elevation, and population density.

The immune signaling pathway mediated by Dectin-1 is important in mammals to modulate the production of IL-17 and TNF-α. Recently, IL-17 and TNF have also been characterized in invertebrates to play crucial roles in antibacterial immune responses, although the immune recognition and regulation mechanisms to produce IL-17 and TNF are still not well investigated. Irinotecan (CPT-11) is an anti-tumor drug and formulated as nanomedicines to reduce side effects and improve efficacy. In vivo, CPT-11 must be hydrolyzed by carboxylesterase to its active form 7-ethyl-10-hydroxycamptothecin (SN-38) to exert anti-tumor activity, but the lack of this enzyme in humans causes inefficient generation of SN-38. Thus, direct delivery of SN-38, not relying on carboxylesterase, will potentially achieve higher efficacy.
