The new-type submerged granular sludge membrane bioreactor (S-GSMBR) was constructed by installing a membrane module inside an upflow anaerobic sludge blanket. S-GSMBR achieved the fast start-up (47 d) and long-term stable operation (133 d) of mainstream Anammox process as well as the effective control of membrane fouling. The maximum nitrogen removal rate and efficiency were 0.

Considering the interplay between cancer, inflammation, and immunosuppression, we hypothesized that circulating and imaging inflammatory markers could serve as indicators of anti-tumor immune responses, and thus conducting an exploratory study to reveal the predictive value of combining longitudinal systemic inflammatory markers in stratifying pathologic response to neoadjuvant sintilimab.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 36 patients (29 male and seven female) with NSCLC (stage IA-IIIB) who underwent pre- and post-treatment peripheral blood tests and F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (F-FDG PET/CT) scans before and after two cycles of neoadjuvant sintilimab (registration number: ChiCTR-OIC-17013726).
In recent decades, global warming has intensified hydrological cycles, raising concerns about the impacts of climate change on hydrological processes, water quality, and water resources across various temporal and spatial scales. These changes significantly affect water resource management and environmental protection policies and may also influence the ecological health and socio-economic well-being of lake regions. Qinghai Lake, the largest inland lake and a major water source reservoir in China, plays a crucial role in the ecological security of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

The global plasticizer market is projected to increase from $17 billion in 2022 to $22.5 billion in 2027. Various emerging/alternative plasticizers entered the market following the ban on several phthalate plasticizers because of their harmful effects.

The limited response to various treatments is mainly derived from the presence of the substantive barrier, blood-brain barrier (BBB) and brain-tumor barrier (BTB), which hinders the access of potentially effective therapeutics to the metastatic tumor of brain. Recently, the understanding of the structural and molecular features of the BBB/BTB has led to the development of efficient strategies to enhance BBB/BTB permeability and deliver drugs across the BBB/BTB to elicit the antitumor response against BrM.

However, few studies have focused on the interaction between NP and MPs in soil, especially for MPs of different types and ageing characteristics. In this study, non-polar polypropylene (PP) and polar polyamide (PA) MPs were aged either photochemically (144 h) or within soil (60 days), then used to determine the effect of 5 % MPs on the adsorption behaviour of NP (0.

The changes in the plankton community during the three seasons were analyzed by constructing ecological network diagrams, non-metric multidimensional scaling analysis (NMDS), and the ecological niche width. The niche overlap of zooplankton dominant species was evaluated by the improved Levins' formula and Petraitis' index.

In this study, the characteristics of As release from sediments was investigated, and the As sources and sinks with the strengths in sediments from different areas (grass-type, algae-type, and grass-algae alternation areas) in great shallow lakes (Taihu Lake, China) were analyzed, and the influence of P competition in the process of As release was also studied. The results showed that changing trend of the values of equilibrium As concentration in sediments were consistent with the regional changes (0 to 28.

Background: Neoadjuvant anti-programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) therapy exhibits potential in treating resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Previously, we have reported the 3-year clinical outcomes of this trial, implying the effectiveness and feasibility of neoadjuvant sintilimab monotherapy. However, the long-term prognosis of patients receiving neoadjuvant mono-immunotherapy has yet to be elucidated.

This review underscores the unmet clinical needs in managing R/M AdCC, emphasising the imperative for novel therapeutic strategies to address this critical gap.
Objective: The primary objective of this review is to comprehensively analyse and assess trials investigating therapeutic approaches for R/M AdCC.
T-cell receptor therapy (TCR-T) has demonstrated efficacy, durability, and safety advantages in certain solid tumors (such as human papillomavirus-related tumors, synovial sarcoma, and melanoma). This study aimed to provide careful considerations for developing TCR-T for solid tumors. Therefore, in this review, we have summarized the current clinical application, advantage of TCR-T modalities and explored efficacy/safety-related parameters, particularly avidity, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, and indications, for solid tumors.

Methods: Data collection and analysis involved a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. There were two phases to this study.
The purpose of this study was to present the preliminary results of the PLATFORM Study, which aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of precision treatment for rare tumors in China. This study involved a phase II, open-label, non-randomized, multi-arm, single-center clinical trial. Patients with advanced rare solid tumors, who had not responded to standard treatment, were enrolled.
