Treatment intensification with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and androgen receptor pathway inhibitors (ARPi) have led to improved survival in advanced prostate cancer. However, ADT is linked to significant cardiovascular toxicity, and ARPi also negatively impacts cardiovascular health. Together with a higher prevalence of baseline cardiovascular risk factors reported among prostate cancer survivors at diagnosis, there is a pressing need to prioritise and optimise cardiovascular health in this population.

Patients And Methods: A total of 1239 patients with clinically localized UTUC who underwent RNU at a single institution between January 2005 and June 2020 were included. The VH was reviewed by a uro-pathologist at our institution.
Purpose: Numerous studies have produced conflicting findings regarding the efficacy of statins in prostate cancer treatment. Our objective was to examine the correlation between statin usage and clinical outcomes in Taiwanese men with metastatic prostate cancer.
Materials And Methods: We identified patients diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer from the Chang Gung Research Database spanning the years 2007 to 2020.
Objectives: Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) causes clinically significant distress in children and adults. Non-pharmaceutical interventions against SARS-CoV-2 have affected the seasonal activity of common respiratory pathogens. This seems exceptionally true regarding RSV's seasonal circulation, hence we have investigated the changes in the epidemiology of RSV in Taiwan during the pandemic.

However, LVI is associated with high tumor grade, tumor necrosis, advanced tumor stage, tumor location, concomitant carcinoma in situ, lymph node metastasis, and sessile tumor architecture. These factors might interfere with the analysis of the impact of LVI on oncological prognosis.

Objective: Heyi disease, Xila disease, and Badagan disease are three common diseases in Mongolian medicine. The changes in intestinal microbiota may be associated with the occurrence, development, and treatment of these diseases. This study aimed to investigate the effects of herbal treatment on intestinal microbiota and serum metabolites in rats with these three diseases.

Compared with previous seasons, RSV outbreaks in Taiwan during the 2020-2021 season were delayed because of COVID-19 mitigation measures. We conducted this study to determine the association of viral factors with clinical characteristics of preschool children with RSV infection.

Methods: About 185 male patients ≥40 years with lower urinary tract symptoms were recruited from a tertiary referral center.
Objectives: To carry out a comparison of upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma characteristics and behavior between patients in Taiwan and Japan.
Methods: A Taiwan urinary tract urothelial carcinoma cohort was obtained from Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and a Japan urinary tract urothelial carcinoma cohort from Hirosaki University Hospital. The inclusion criteria were urinary tract urothelial carcinoma patients who underwent radical nephroureterectomy.
Purpose: Upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) is a relatively uncommon malignancy in Western countries, affecting more men than women. By contrast, UTUC is relatively common in Taiwan and diagnosed more often in women than in men. Previous studies regarding the gender effect on cancer behaviour with UTUC have been controversial.

The accumulation of alpha-synuclein (αSyn) and up-regulated expression of Rab35 participate in the etiology of PD. The purpose of this investigation was to determine whether the combined assessment of serum αSyn and Rab35 is a useful predictive biomarker for PD.

We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and persistence of low-dose mirabegron (25 mg) in patients with OAB in daily urological practice.

The aim of this study was to determine whether there is any difference between right-sided transperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy (TLA) and retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy (RLA).
Material And Methods: Our surgery database was reviewed to identify patients who underwent right-sided laparoscopic adrenalectomy with a retroperitoneal or transperitoneal approach since 2000.
Purpose: Cryoablation has been proven as a less invasive, safe, and effective treatment for localized prostate cancer. We attempted to identify the predictors of biochemical recurrence after prostate cryoablation for localized prostate cancer in this study.
Methods: We reviewed 114 patients who underwent primary whole-gland prostate cryoablation for localized prostate cancer from October 2008 to March 2013.
Background: Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is used worldwide as a complementary and alternative medicine, but little is known about cancer patients' experience when using combination therapy of TCM and conventional medicine.
Objectives: The goal of this study was to understand the experiences of Taiwanese cancer patients undergoing conventional chemotherapy and using TCM at the same time.
Methods: For this qualitative descriptive study, 9 cancer patients (42-63 years old) were interviewed individually and in depth using a semistructured guide.
Urethral reconstruction with graft substances, such as skin and bladder mucosa, has been previously used when primary anastomosis cannot be achieved. However, stricture and meatal prolapse are associated with these grafts. We report the use of buccal mucosa for the reconstruction of urethral defects in 3 patients.

Methods: From July 2000 to June 2002, 42 patients with clinically localized or locally extensive prostate carcinoma were treated with HDR iridium-192 brachytherapy and EBRT with or without androgen ablation. The median follow up was 16.
