Stretchable electronics are poised to revolutionize personal healthcare and robotics, where they enable distributed and conformal sensors. Transistors are fundamental building blocks of electronics, and there is a need to produce stretchable transistors using low-cost and scalable fabrication techniques. Here, we introduce a facile fabrication approach using laser patterning and transfer printing to achieve high-performance, solution-processed intrinsically stretchable organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs).

However, due to the complexity of pathological abnormalities and lack of detailed annotation of those abnormalities, computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) of thoracic diseases remains challenging. In this paper, we propose the triple-attention learning (A Net) model for this CAD task.

We tried to assess potential prognostic roles of preoperative GRIm-Score in patients undergoing video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) lobectomy for stage I-II non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by propensity score-matching (PSM) analysis.
Methods: This PSM-based analysis was performed on our single-center prospectively-maintained database between January 2014 and October 2015.
The aim of this study is to explore the hepatoprotective potential of coix seed protein hydrolysates (CPP) against alcohol-induced liver injury, and investigate the underlying mechanisms. The hepatoprotective activity of CPP at 0, 10, 30, 50 mg per kg BW was demonstrated in vivo by using ICR male mice fed with 40% v/v alcohol (5 ml per kg body weight) daily to induce alcoholic liver injury. CPP could significantly improve the alcohol metabolism in liver as evidenced by the enhanced activity of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT).

Here, we aimed to investigate whether NISCH downregulation could protect rat pheochromocytoma (PC12) cells against oxidative stress-induced injury using a model of cell injury induced by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Cell viability was evaluated using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay.

Recent resting-state fMRI evidence indicates that global signal (GS) fluctuations that have commonly been ignored are linked to neural activity. However, the mechanisms underlying the altered global pattern of fMRI spontaneous fluctuations in epilepsy remain unclear.

However, prognostic value of routine clinical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of endothelial dysfunction on incident MACE in patients with non-obstructive coronary artery disease (NOCAD) remains unknown. Endothelial Function Guided Management in Patients with NOCAD (ENDOFIND) is a multicenter, randomized, patients-blinded, parallel-controlled, two-stage clinical trial evaluating the impact of routine clinical peripheral endothelial function testing on initiation and/or intensification of cardiovascular preventive therapies in Stage I, and on the risk of MACE in Stage II in patients with NOCAD.

Objective: The aim of this study was to quantify the cross-sectional association of brain white matter lesions with arterial stiffness assessed by the cardio-ankle vascular index among 1176 adults.
Methods: We used logistic regression to evaluate the associations of the cardio-ankle vascular index with brain white matter lesions, detected by computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging, versus normal brain white matter.

Trimethyl phosphate (TMP) is a flame-retardant solvent frequently used in nonaqueous electric energy storage devices. Anions can hardly intercalate into a graphite positive electrode from neat TMP at ordinary conditions. In TMP solutions, dissolving lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF), lithium tetrafluoroborate (LiBF), lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (LiFSI), and lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonimide) (LiTFSI), by means of increasing lithium salt concentration or increasing the charge cutoff voltage of Li/graphite cells, the TMP-solvated anions can successfully intercalate into graphite positive electrodes.

The aniline degradation efficiency was almost 100%, and the total nitrogen (TN) removal rate was more than 50%. Metagenomics technology revealed the community structure, functional genes and metabolic mechanism during the start-up of the enhanced reactor.

This article aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of serologic methods for COVID-19 based on assay design and post-symptom-onset intervals. Two authors independently searched PubMed, Cochrane library, Ovid, EBSCO for case-control, longitudinal and cohort studies that determined the diagnostic accuracy of serology tests in comparison with NAATs in COVID-19 cases and used QUADAS-2 for quality assessment.

In this paper, an integrated computer-aided system based on deep learning is proposed for the detection of multiple categories of tuberculosis lesions in chest radiographs. In this system, the fully convolutional neural network method is used to segment the lung area from the entire chest radiograph for pulmonary tuberculosis detection.

Study subjects were adults aged 18 years or more, ideally those who had not their blood pressure (BP) measured for at least a year. Blood pressure was measured three times consecutively with a 1-min interval in the sitting position, using automated BP monitors in 288 342 participants and transmitted to a central database by a smartphone app.

In this work, we developed an ultrasensitive ELISA system that is based on horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-loaded dendritic mesoporous silica nanoparticles (DMSN) modified with poly(amino acid) multilayers (defined as DSHP). A large amount of HRP adsorption was achieved in center-radial mesoporous channels of DMSN because of the high specific surface area and large pore size, leading to significant signal amplification.

Access to clean drinking water is a recognized societal need that touches on the health and livelihood of millions of people worldwide. This is providing an incentive to develop new water-treatment technologies. Traditional technologies, while widespread, are usually inefficient at removing organic pollutants from sewage or so-called grey water.

This protocol proceeds under 456-nanometer irradiation by visible blue light in the absence of transition metals or organic dye based photoredox catalysts. The reaction is successfully applied to a wide range of redox-active esters derived from aliphatic carboxylic acids (1°, 2° and 3°) and α-amino acids, enabling transformations of diverse α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids to α,β-alkylated styrenes with high efficiency and excellent selectivity under mild conditions.
