Mucinous tubular and spindle cell carcinoma (MTSCC) is a relatively rare renal epithelial neoplasm resembling type 1 papillary renal cell carcinoma (PRCC) morphologically and immunohistochemically. The accurate diagnosis of MTSCC remains a challenge. Here, by using proteomic profiling, we characterized MTSCC and PRCC to identify diagnostic biomarkers.

In this study, we systematically evaluate different ambiphilic organohalides for their ability to participate in anti-selective carbo- or heteroannulation with non-conjugated alkenyl amides under Pd /Pd catalysis. Detailed optimization of the reaction conditions has led to protocols for synthesizing tetrahydropyridines, tetralins, pyrrolidines, and other carbo/heterocyclic cores via [n+2] (n=3-5) (hetero)annulation. Expansion of scope to otherwise unreactive ambiphilic haloketones through Pd /amine co-catalysis is also demonstrated.

TAFRO syndrome with fatigue and abdominal distension as the first symptom: A case report.

TAFRO syndrome is a peculiar and rare type of multi-centric Castleman's disease which contained a series of symptoms such as thrombocytopenia (T), anasarca (A), fever (F), reticulin fibrosis (R), and organomegaly (O). Here we provide a case of TAFRO syndrome with the manifestation of fatigue, abdominal distension, and low fever at primary diagnosis, characterized by multiple lymphadenopathy of superficial mediastinal and retroperitoneal lymph nodes, and it was finally confirmed by lymph node biopsy. The patient recovered speedy after receiving CHOP chemotherapy.

[Effect of Temperature on ANAMMOX Process in Sequencing Batch Biofilm Reactors: Nitrogen Removal Performance and Bacterial Community].

Our previous study manifested that lanthanum chloride (LaCl) can enhance the anticancer ability of cisplatin (DDP) in ovarian cancer cells. Here, ovarian cancer cells SKOV3 and SKOV3/DDP were subjected to DDP and LaCl. Cell viability, apoptosis, DNA repair, and PI3K/Akt pathway were detected.

Method: A total of 7103 individuals aged 60 and older were selected from China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study. A generalized linear mixed-effects model was used to estimate the relationship between sleep duration and depression, and we performed stratified analyses by age: young-old elderly, old-old elderly and oldest-old elderly.

The present work aims at investigating the efficacy of hydrogel adsorbents prepared from regenerated WCS as the carriers of activated carbon (AC) for treating the dye-contaminated water. Activated WCS was directly dissolved in lithium chloride/,-dimethylacetamide (LiCl/DMAc) solvent and then regenerated into cellulose hydrogels, which were employed as three-dimensional biodegradable matrices for loading an extremely high content of AC (up to 5000%).

A total of 90 patients were enrolled in this study (CHO group, = 28; placebo group, = 30 and fasting group, = 32).

Methods: In this descriptive, cross-sectional study, the mainland China version of the Disaster Preparedness Evaluation Tool was used to collect data from 633 nurses working in 26 emergency departments, in August 2018. Descriptive analyses were used to examine the disaster preparedness, and multiple linear regression analysis was used to investigate associated factors.

Simultaneous dose and dose rate optimization (SDDRO) of the FLASH effect for pencil-beam-scanning proton therapy.

Purpose: Compared to CONV-RT (with conventional dose rate), FLASH-RT (with ultra-high dose rate) can provide biological dose sparing for organs-at-risk (OARs) via the so-called FLASH effect, in addition to physical dose sparing. However, the FLASH effect only occurs, when both dose and dose rate meet certain minimum thresholds. This work will develop a simultaneous dose and dose rate optimization (SDDRO) method accounting for both FLASH dose and dose rate constraints during treatment planning for pencil-beam-scanning proton therapy.
