Study on the preservation effect of Co-γ ray irradiation on potatoes.

To evaluate the effect of irradiation on the preservation of potatoes, fresh potatoes were selected as the irradiation objects, and irradiated with Co-γ radiation source for 0, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 Gy, respectively. During the irradiation, the well-packaged YBiEuMgTiO novel thermoluminescence dosimeter material was placed together with the potatoes at the same position. Then, the potatoes were stored in the same temperature and humidity environment, and the quality changes of the potatoes were observed.

In this study, we established a lithium chloride-pilocarpine epilepsy mouse model, performed miRNA sequencing of hippocampal tissue samples, and compared the obtained miRNA expression profile with that of normal control mice to determine differences in expression levels.

Prognostic impact of sodium fluorescein-guided microsurgery on cognitive function, neuropeptide dynamics, and short-term outcomes in brain glioma patients.

This study conducted a retrospective analysis on 107 brain glioma patients treated from January 2018 to February 2020 to assess the impact of sodium fluorescein-guided microsurgery on postoperative cognitive function and short-term outcomes. Patients were divided into two groups: a control group (n=50 patients) undergoing routine surgery and a research group (n=57 patients) receiving sodium fluorescein-guided microsurgery. The study compared postoperative total resection rates, changes in cognitive scores, and neuropeptide levels in cerebrospinal fluid between the groups.

Falling nets are a type of fishing gear that appeared and developed rapidly in the northern of South China Sea in the early 1990s. We have developed Light-emitting diode (LED) fishing lamps to replace metal halide (MH) lamps that reduce fuel consumption without reducing the catches. We conducted marine light-fishing experiments in the northern South China Sea during September 20 to 26, 2019 and August 29 to 31, 2021.

Transient inhibition of lysosomal functions potentiates nucleic acid vaccines.

Nucleic acid vaccines have shown promising results in the clinic against infectious diseases and cancers. To robustly improve the vaccine efficacy and safety, we developed an approach to increase the intracellular stability of nucleic acids by transiently inhibiting lysosomal function in targeted tissues using sucrose. To achieve efficient and localized delivery of sucrose in animals, we designed a biomimetic lipid nanoparticle (LNP) to target the delivery of sucrose into mouse muscle cells.

Post-stroke depression (PSD) is a serious neuropsychiatric complication post stroke and leads to cognitive deficits. This study was conducted to explore the molecular mechanism of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1A) in cognitive dysfunction in rats with PSD. The rat model of PSD was established by middle cerebral artery occlusion, followed by 3 weeks of treatment with chronic unpredictable mild stress.

Patients And Methods: We retrospectively reviewed our institutional PCNL database from 2017 to 2021. Patients who underwent PCNL guided by loach guidewire were assigned to group A (489 patients); patients who received super-stiff guidewire were assigned to group B (269 patients).
