Background: The scientific literature has studies that assess the influence of erosive challenges with citric acidic drinks and substances on the adhesive bond strength to enamel and dentin, but does not contain information about the influence of regional components of an acidic diet on this process. Thus, this study evaluated the erosive influence of Amazonian tucupi on enamel and dentin microshear bond strength.
Materials And Methods: One hundred and sixty-eight healthy bovine incisors teeth were used, divided into 12 groups ( = 14).
While urban sound management often focuses on sound as a nuisance, soundscape research suggests that proactive design approaches involving sound art installations can enhance public space experience. Nevertheless, there is no consensus on a methodology to inform the composition of sound installations through soundscape evaluation, and little research on the effect of composition strategies on soundscape evaluation. The present study is part of a research-creation collaboration around the design of a permanent sound installation in an urban public space in Paris (Niches Acoustiques by Nadine Schütz).

While flowering is generally occurring earlier, we know much less about other key processes such as the time of fruit ripening, largely due to the lack of comprehensive long-term datasets. Here we provide information on the exact date and site where seeds of 4,462 taxa were collected for the Index Seminum (seed exchange catalogue) of the Botanic Garden of the University of Coimbra, between 1926 and 2013.

Uncertainty prevails regarding a robust association between CHIP and heart-transplantation (HT) outcomes.
Objectives: To determine the prevalence of CHIP mutations in HT and their association with long-term outcomes, including cardiac allograft vasculopathy (CAV), graft failure, malignancy, and all-cause mortality.
Background: Identifying factors associated with the occurrence of primary tooth avulsion is essential to promote prevention strategies.
Aim: To investigate the risk factors associated with primary incisor avulsion and variables associated with post-avulsion sequelae in the permanent successor.
Design: This case-control study comprised 407 children (cases) with primary incisor avulsion and 407 children (controls) with other traumatic dental injuries (TDI).

Objective: To evaluate the results obtained with an artificial intelligence-based software for predicting the risk of malignancy in breast masses from ultrasound images.
Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective, single-center study evaluating 555 breast masses submitted to percutaneous biopsy at a cancer referral center. Ultrasonographic findings were classified in accordance with the BI-RADS lexicon.
Unlabelled: The municipality of Salvador, situated in Brazil, distinguished itself as the epicenter of the emergence of microcephaly related to congenital manifestations of Zika syndrome. Despite the anticipated significant developmental setbacks in these children, research has indicated a varied range of outcomes, with certain instances even reflecting minimal developmental delay. Our objective was to pinpoint determinants that could forecast developmental anomalies in children diagnosed with microcephaly associated with congenital Zika syndrome (CZS).

These devices have undergone significant technological advancements over the years, and contemporary LVADs prolong life substantially in patients dependent on inotropic therapy or in those with severe ambulatory advanced heart failure with a median survival that exceeds 5 y, and most patients benefit from a doubling in functional capacity, even among those intended as destination therapy because of ineligibility for transplantation. Other intended goals for LVAD implantation consist of (1) bridge to remission or recovery and (2) bridge to transplant or candidacy for transplant.

Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective descriptive case series of parafoveal chondral lesion of the femoral head in 21 patients who underwent computed tomography and magnetic resonance arthrography scans of the hip, having then received an imaging-based diagnosis of femoroacetabular impingement.
Results: Of the 21 patients evaluated, 15 (71%) had cam-type femoroacetabular impingement, whereas five (24%) had mixed-type impingement, and one (5%) had pincer-type impingement.
When sight-reading a score, a timpanist needs to decide in real-time which stick to use to play a specific note while interpreting the musical material. Our main point of inquiry seeks to understand which sticking patterns performers employ and how they are affected by rhythmic stability. This paper analyzes the bi-manual sequencing (i.

Among the extra-articular manifestations of RA, pleuropulmonary involvement occurs frequently, with different presentations, potentially in all anatomic thoracic compartments, and may determine high morbidity and mortality. The most common pleuropulmonary manifestations in patients with RA include interstitial lung disease (ILD), pleural disease, pulmonary arterial hypertension, rheumatoid lung nodules, airway disease (bronchiectasis and bronchiolitis), and lymphadenopathy.

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of TDIs in the primary lower incisors and the factors associated with their occurrence and with the incidence of sequelae in the permanent successor teeth.
Design: Dental files (n = 2926) from patients who attended a reference center for dental trauma in the primary teeth, from 1998 to 2020, were screened.
The study aimed to evaluate a quantification method of pulmonary perfusion with Dual-Energy CT Angiography (DE-CTA) normalized by lung density in the prediction of outcome in acute pulmonary embolism (PE). In this prospective study with CTA scans acquired with different breathing protocols, two perfusion parameters were calculated: %PBV (relative value of PBV, expressed per unit volume) and PBVm (PBV normalized by lung density, expressed per unit mass). DE-CTA parameters were correlated with simplified pulmonary embolism severity index (sPESI) and with outcome groups, alone and in combinationwith tomographic right-to-left ventricular ratios (RV/LV).

Each technology has its drawbacks and advantages, fitting best to particular applications. The presented multi-sensor human gait dataset comprises synchronized inertial and optical motion data from 25 participants free of lower-limb injuries, aged between 18 and 47 years.

We aimed to quantify lobar pulmonary perfusion with DE-CTA, analyze the perfusion distribution among the pulmonary lobes in subjects without cardiopulmonary diseases and assess the correlation between lobar perfusion and regional endoluminal clots in patients with acute pulmonary embolism (PE).
Methods: We evaluated 151 consecutive subjects with suspected PE and without cardiopulmonary comorbidities.

Background: Anthracycline (ANT) is often used for breast cancer treatment but its clinical use is limited by cardiotoxicity (CTX). CECCY trial demonstrated that the β-blocker carvedilol (CVD) could attenuate myocardial injury secondary to ANT. Mieloperoxydase (MPO) is a biomarker of oxidative stress and galectin-3 (Gal-3) is a biomarker of fibrosis and cardiac remodeling.

The aims of this study were to ) evaluate proximal-to-distal sequencing (PDS) in pianists' attack and release movements during pressed- keystrokes, and ) investigate if trunk motion facilitates PDS of upper-limb movements. Nine expert pianists performed a series of loud pressed- keystrokes. Kinematic data was recorded with a 3 D motion capture system.

Methods: We screened 2922 records of patients with photographic and radiographic images who attended a reference centre for dental trauma in the primary teeth from 1998 to 2019. Among them, 240 were eligible records of children who had suffered avulsion of the primary incisors and were followed up until complete eruption of the permanent successors.
High-level improvising musicians master idiosyncratic gesture vocabularies that allow them to express themselves in unique ways. The full use of such vocabularies is nevertheless challenged when improvisers incorporate electronics in their performances. To control electronic sounds and effects, they typically use commercial interfaces whose physicality is likely to limit their freedom of movement.
