A novel and simple ratiometric fluorescent aptasensor was developed for the sensitive detection of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1). A hairpin DNA (h-DNA) was independently synthesized as the basic skeleton, and the bidirectional hybridization of h-DNA can increase the load of aptamer and signal probes, thereby realizing signal amplification. The high-efficiency fluorescence resonance energy transfer interaction between gold-palladium nanoparticles (Au-Pd NPs) and the self-synthesized fluorescent probe carbon dots (CDs) was utilized.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA dual-signal ratiometric electrochemical aptasensor has been developed for AFB1 detection using thionine/Au/zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (Thi/Au/ZIF-8) nanomaterials and catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA) reaction. Thi/Au/ZIF-8 combined with DNA hairpin 2 (H2) was used as a signal probe. [Fe(CN)] was served as another signal probe, and the I/I ratio was for the first time utilized to quantify AFB1.

The fluorescent aptasensor with enzyme-free signal amplification strategy was developed by using cDNA as a promoter to trigger hybridization chain reaction (HCR), which effectively improved the sensitivity of this aptasensor. In the absence of OTA, 3D porous N-S-C mesh can adsorb carboxyfluorescein FAM-labeled hairpin DNA1 (H1-FAM) and hairpin DNA2 (H2) and quench the fluorescence of FAM.

Inflammation has been implicated in ICH pathogenesis and is a potential therapeutic target for ICH. Haemin, an activator of haem oxygenase-1 (HO-1), rapidly increases HO-1 protein expression and activity and has been shown to distinctly affect anti-inflammatory functions after central nervous system (CNS) injury.

A total of 179 laparoscopic patients from March 2015 to May 2017 were enrolled and randomly divided into the control group (group A) and three experimental groups with different doses of dexmedetomidine (group B: 0.25; group C: 0.

Here, we investigated microRNA (miRNA)-based regulation of thrombin-driven microglial activation using an in vitro thrombin toxicity model applied to primary human microglia.
Methods: A miRNA array identified 22 differential miRNA candidates.
VitaFast(®) test kits designed for the microbiological assay in microtiter plate format can be applied to quantitative determination of B-group water-soluble vitamins such as vitamin B12, folic acid and biotin, et al. Compared to traditional microbiological methods, VitaFast(®) kits significantly reduce sample processing time and provide greater reliability, higher productivity and better accuracy. Recently, simultaneous determination of vitamin B12, folic acid and biotin in one sample is urgently required when evaluating the quality of infant formulae in our practical work.

The genomic DNAs, which were proved to harbour both Ac and Ds, were used as templates in TAIL-PCR to clone the Ds flanking sequences. The cloned specific fragments were sequenced, and the sequenced Ds flanking sequences were used as query sequences to perform on-line sequence comparing analysis against GenBank by employing BLAST program of NCBI.

The effects of nano-TiO2 (rutile) on the chloroplast aging of spinach under light were studied. The results showed that when the chloroplasts were illuminated for 1, 5, and 10 min with 500 micromol/cm2/min light intensity, respectively, the evolution oxygen rate was rapidly increased; when the chloroplasts were treated for 20, 30, and 40 min with 500 micromol/cm2/min light intensity, respectively, the evolution oxygen rate was gradually decreased. While spinach was treated with 0.

The effect of lanthanum on the adventitious root growth, activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and peroxidase (POD), O2* production rate, MDA content, and the relative plasma membrane permeability in roots of loquat test-tube plantlet were studied. Addition of lanthanum chloride (0.5 micromol/L) to the culture medium significantly increased the length of roots, increased the dry weight, enhanced the activities of SOD, CAT, and POD, decreased O2* production rate, malondialdehyde (MDA) contents, and the relative plasma membrane permeability.

The effect of CeCl3 on the rooting and nitrogen metabolism of the peach plantlet in vitro was studied when the CeCl3 was added to the rooted medium. The results showed that the rooting rate and the fresh weight of roots could be increased and the length of root could be enlarged, and the activities of nitrate reductase, glutamine synthetase, glutamate dehydrogenase in the roots were increased significantly, the transformation of NO(3-) to NH(4+) and protein were promoted, and the nitrogen metabolism was accelerated when the plantlets grew in the optimum rooted medium that contained the concentration 0.3 micromol/L Ce(3+).
