Tuberculosis infection control in health care facilities in Enugu State, Nigeria: a cross-sectional facility-based study.

Introduction: overtime, tuberculosis (TB) has remained the most common opportunistic infection among people living with HIV (PLHIV). Proper implementation of TB infection control (TBIC) practices in health care facilities can curb TB menace among PLHIV and the public. We assessed the implementation of TB infection control in health care facilities offering Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) in Enugu State, Nigeria.

Association of Sociodemographic Factors, Breast Cancer Fear, and Perceived Self-Efficacy With Breast Cancer Screening Behaviors Among Middle-Aged Nigerian Women.

Introduction: Breast cancer (BC) is a major public health problem among women. However, BC screening uptake is abysmally low among Nigerian women. This study evaluated the association of BC fear and perceived self-efficacy with BC screening (clinical breast exam [CBE] and mammography) among middle-aged Nigerian women.

Behaviour change communication for control of tuberculosis by healthcare workers in DOTS facilities in Nigeria.

Introduction: prevention and control of tuberculosis (TB) should be behaviour-centred to facilitate change of unhealthy behaviours that encourage the spread of the infective agent. This study aimed to ascertain the knowledge, beliefs and practices of Behavior Change Communication (BCC) in the control of TB by healthcare workers in DOTS in Nigeria.

Methods: using the qualitative research approach, we interviewed 38 healthcare workers from two states in Nigeria.
