Recurrent upper or lower respiratory symptoms, possibly allergy-related, are very frequent in childhood. It is therefore important that physicians involved in the primary care of these children have an accurate initial diagnostic tool available. In this study, we investigated the value of an in vitro diagnostic device testing 10 common allergens, the ImmunoCAP Rapid Wheeze/Rhinitis Child, for the primary evaluation of allergy.

Subjects And Methods: We included 33 consecutive patients (25 men; mean age +/- SD, 64 +/- 9.6 years) with solitary pulmonary nodules at different sites and with a lesion-to-pleura distance of at least 2 cm who previously underwent conventional bronchoscopy that did not result in histologic diagnosis.
Background: Off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAB) has attracted increasing attention. Performing the anastomosis off-pump is technically more demanding. The objective of the study is to assess the quality of anastomosis in OPCAB in comparison with conventional on-pump coronary artery bypass grafting using the transit time flow measurement.
