Objective: Burnout in sonographers is a prevalent and complex professional hazard associated with poorer quality of work life, productivity, and patient outcomes. This study aimed to understand the prevalence of and work systems factors associated with burnout among a large sample of sonographers.

Materials And Methods: Research study registry participants (n=3659) were invited to complete a follow-up survey about personal and work environment factors, including work hours, break time, coworker and supervisor support, and job satisfaction, overall health, and sleep quality.

This single-centre analysis aims to assess this correlation and provide insight into the impact of liver resection on patient well-being in this population.

Acute and chronic optical coherence tomography findings in partial optic nerve head avulsion.

We present a case of partial optic nerve head (ONH) avulsion in a 15-year-old boy evaluated with optical coherence tomography (OCT) from 2 weeks to 15 months after acute injury. Distinct findings on OCT in the acute setting correlated with the diagnosis and with additional testing, including fundus photography, Humphrey visual fields, and clinical examination. OCT findings became less pronounced in the chronic setting.

Background: Alexia without agraphia (AWA) is an acquired reading disturbance associated with left posterior cerebral artery (PCA) infarction. Based on autopsy and neuroimaging, there are two explanations for its pathogenesis: a visual cortex-language cortex disconnection and a visual word-form agnosia. Our goal was to discover if more refined brain imaging in a case-control study would provide further imaging support for either of these hypotheses.

Search for Soft Unclustered Energy Patterns in Proton-Proton Collisions at 13 TeV.

The first search for soft unclustered energy patterns (SUEPs) is performed using an integrated luminosity of 138  fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13  TeV, collected in 2016-2018 by the CMS detector at the LHC. Such SUEPs are predicted by hidden valley models with a new, confining force with a large 't Hooft coupling. In events with boosted topologies, selected by high-threshold hadronic triggers, the multiplicity and sphericity of clustered tracks are used to reject the background from standard model quantum chromodynamics.

Emergency department use before cancer diagnosis in Ontario, Canada: a population-based study.

Background: Although suspicions of cancer may be raised in patients who visit the emergency department, little is known about emergency department use before a cancer diagnosis. We sought to describe emergency department use among patients in Ontario within the 90 days before confirmed cancer diagnosis and to evaluate factors associated with this emergency department use.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective, population-based study of patients aged 18 years or older who had a confirmed cancer diagnosis in Ontario from 2014 to 2021 using linked administrative databases.
