Objectives: The aim of the research was to analyze the impact of selected factors: years of service, the number of interventions, self-efficacy and stress, on occupational burnout. It was hypothesized that firefighters with more years of service and a bigger number of interventions would be characterized by higher perceived stress and burnout, and that self-efficacy would have an impact on reducing the level of perceived stress and burnout.

Material And Methods: The participants were firefighters (N = 576) from 12 Polish voivodeships, aged 20-58 years, with different seniority: up to 3, 4-8, 9-15 or >15 years of service.

Aim: The paper presents a study concerning perception of relationship between parents, attachment patterns between adolescents and parents and their influence on intensity of psychopathology symptoms in nonclinical adolescent women.

Method: The study examined 75 nonclinical women in late adolescent (17-19 years old). Participants completed Parental Bonding Instrument, Youth Self Report Form and simple survey containing additional questions.

Spontaneous continuous arterio-venous hemofiltration (CAVH) is a blood purification system based on blood filtration through capillary hemofilters without pumps, using the arterio-venous pressure gradient for blood perfusion. In 2-nd Department of Surgery of Medical University of Gdańsk in the years 1989-1996 we introduced CAVH 13 times in 6 women and 7 men, aged from 17 till 79 years. We used this technique to maintain fluid balance in anuric patients needing parenteral fluids.
