Paralysis affects many people worldwide, and the people affected often suffer from impaired communication. We developed a microelectrode-based Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) for enabling communication in patients affected by paralysis, and implanted it in a patient with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a neurodegenerative disease that causes widespread neural symptoms including paralysis. To verify the effectiveness of the BCI system, it was also tested by implanting it in a non-human primate (NHP).

Background: There is currently no dedicated measurement for assessing nursing students' study interest in China. Considering the good reliability, validity, and widespread applicability of the Study Interest Questionnaire-Short Form (SIQ-SF), the objective of this study was to validate its usage among Chinese nursing students.
Methods: The translation and cross-cultural adaptation rigorously followed the modified Brislin model.
Introduction: Subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation (STN-DBS) is a proven treatment modality for Parkinson's disease (PD), reducing dyskinesia and time spent in the "OFF" state. This study evaluates the long-term outcomes of STN-DBS in PD patients up to 10 years post-surgery in Singapore.
Method: We conducted a retrospective review of Movement Disorders Society-Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS) scores, activities of daily living (ADLs), disease milestones, dopaminergic drug prescriptions, and adverse events in patients before and after STN-DBS surgery.
Background: Virtual reality-reminiscence therapy (VR-RT) has increasingly been applied to older adults to improve psychological well-being and cognition.
Objective: This review aims to identify (1) the design characteristics of conducting a VR-RT and (2) the effects of VR-RT on the user experience, cognitive outcomes and psychological well-being.

We performed a population-based retrospective cohort study to investigate the impact of anesthesiologists' characteristics on in-hospital morbidity after spine surgery.
Methods: Adult patients who underwent spine surgery at the London Health Science Centre, Ontario, Canada between January 1, 2010 and June 30, 2023 were included in this study.
The treatment of head and neck cancers (HNCs) encompasses a complex paradigm involving a combination of surgery, radiotherapy, and systemic treatment. Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited 531 informal Chinese caregivers of older adults in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan, and Singapore. The scale reliability was examined using Cronbach's alphas (α) and McDonald's omega coefficient (ω).
This bibliometric review aims to identify key actors in the behavioral health services availability/accessibility literature. To optimize the individual radiation dose, we hypothesize that the genomic adjusted radiation dose (GARD) can be used to correlate with locoregional control.
