Introduction: TMJ OA is characterized by severe osteocartilaginous degradation of the joint structure resulting in severe deterioration of both joint function as well as joint structure. bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) gained wide acceptance as an auspicious addition for regenerative medicine as it is confirmed to be a rich source of pluripotent mesenchymal stem cells and growth factors that produce promising relief of clinical symptoms with significant repair of the joint structure. Thus, the study aims at assessing the efficacy of bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) as a treatment modality for TMJ osteoarthritis and compare its efficacy with that of hyaluronic acid (HA).

In this study, we prepared a series of edible blend films of xanthan and curdlan by mixing different ratios of these two biopolymers. Characterization techniques like FTIR, XRD, TGA and SEM analysis were applied to investigate the newly formed films. Background: The most frequent complications from percutaneous electrophysiology procedures relate to vascular access. We sought to perform the first randomised controlled trial for femoral venous haemostasis utilising a simple and novel purse string suture (PSS) technique.

Methods: We randomised 200 consecutive patients who were referred for electrophysiology procedures at two different hospitals to either 10minutes of manual pressure or a PSS over the femoral vein and determined the incidence of vascular access site complications.

Hyperphosphatemia is a nearly universal complication of end-stage renal disease that is widely recognized as one of the most important and most challenging clinical targets to meet in the care of dialysis patients. Left untreated, it can lead to bone pain, pruritus and worsening secondary hyperparathyroidism. Data from observational studies demonstrate that an elevated serum phosphorus level is an independent risk factor for mortality, and that treatment with phosphate binders is independently associated with improved survival.

A retrospective study evaluating the pattern of blood pressure and its related complications before, during, and after percutaneous hemodialysis interventions was performed in patients presenting with asymptomatic hypertension. Hemodialysis patients undergoing percutaneous interventions including tunneled hemodialysis catheter insertion, percutaneous balloon angioplasty and thrombectomy procedure, and stage II hypertension (systolic blood pressure ≥160 mmHg) were included in this analysis. Blood pressure medications were not used while midazolam and fentanyl were routinely administered.

Alemtuzumab is a humanized anti-CD52 mAb that has emerged as a safe and effective lymphocyte-depleting agent for induction therapy in renal transplantation. Recent reports have suggested that acute cellular rejection (ACR) of renal allografts in patients who receive alemtuzumab induction may be mediated by an atypical population of monocytes and not through "classical" T cell-dependent pathways of allorecognition. However, more recently, T cells with memory phenotype have been described in renal biopsies that were taken from alemtuzumab-treated patients who were experiencing ACR.
