Introduction Different methods are used to fix a sliding calcaneal osteotomy for hindfoot varus and valgus deformity. However, information about the effectiveness and limitations of each method is limited. In this meta-analysis, we compare the hardware removal rate, union rate, and complications of three different methods of fixation: plate, headed screw, and headless screw.

Introduction The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has had a significant impact on daily life. Restrictions imposed to help minimise virus transmission have limited both population movement and employment, as well as altering the potential mechanisms of high-energy trauma. The objective of this study was to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on pelvic and acetabular trauma.

Therapeutic efficacy of platelet-rich plasma injection compared to corticosteroid injection in plantar fasciitis: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: This study summarizes all literature assessing the long term effects of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection compared to corticosteroid injection to relieve pain and improve function in Plantar Fasciitis patients.

Materials And Methods: This is a PRISMA compliant systematic review of 5 databases and include a meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trial data comparing the two injections.

Results: Ten prospective trials were included with total number of 543 participants.
