Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) have revolutionized the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) but their use was associated with a range of serious cardiopulmonary toxicities including vascular adverse events, QT prolongation, heart failure, pleural effusion, and pulmonary arterial hypertension. Dedicated clinical management guidelines for TKI-induced toxicities are not available. This review aims to discuss TKI-associated cardiopulmonary toxicities and proposes a practical guide for their management.

Implantable cardioverter defibrillator lead endocarditis due to Brucella melitensis is a rare and life-threatening complication of brucellosis. Successful management requires a combination of medical treatment and device extraction. We present a case of relapsing brucellosis manifested as infective endocarditis colonizing the lead of the implantable cardioverter defibrillator with formation of vegetation on the lead.

Purpose: To prospectively evaluate the accuracy of 64-section computed tomography (CT) for diagnosis of stent restenosis, by using conventional coronary angiography as the reference standard.

Materials And Methods: The ethics committee granted permission for the study; patients gave written consent. Contrast material-enhanced coronary CT angiography was performed in 53 patients (45 men, eight women; mean age, 54 years +/- 9 [standard deviation]) suspected of having stent restenosis.
