Background Contact lenses (CL) are frequently used among the population. Various symptoms, including dryness, impaired vision, foreign body sensation, and eye strain, were reported by patients with contact lens-associated dry eye (CLADE) disease. The purpose of this study is to estimate the prevalence and severity of dry eye symptoms among contact lens users, as well as non-contact lens users, and the related variables.

The thermal and mechanical indices (TI and MI) serve as crucial indicators of the acoustic output during ultrasound. Clinicians and specialists must know these indices and ensure they are within safe ranges.

Introduction: Bacterial meningitis poses significant medical challenges due to its acute inflammatory nature and potential for severe neurological complications, emphasizing the need for prompt diagnosis and treatment. Limited data exists on its epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance trends among hospitalized patients in Saudi Arabia. This study aimed to investigate these factors at a tertiary care hospital over six years.

The structure of the CQMA and CQMA--HEMA copolymers was confirmed by a CHN elementary analysis, Fourier transform infra-red (FTIR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis.

On the other hand, acetylation of lysine 16 (K16Ac) residue greatly diminishes the fibrillization property of Aβ42 peptide and also affects its toxicity. This is due to the fact that lysine 16 acetylated amyloid beta peptide forms amorphous aggregates instead of amyloid fibrils.
