Aim: To compare the efficacy and safety of the clomiphene citrate (CC) stair-step protocol with standard gonadotrophin (follicle-stimulating hormone) treatment in clomiphene-resistant polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) patients. The study was a prospective cohort study in a tertiary infertility center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Methods: The subjects consisted of 100 PCOS CC-resistant patients who attended between January 2014 and January 2015.

Does cabergoline help in decreasing endometrioma size compared to LHRH agonist? A prospective randomized study.

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the efficiency of dopamine agonist, Cabergoline, in decreasing the size of endometrioma, with that of luteinizing hormone releasing hormone (LHRH) agonist, triptorelin acetate.

Study: This was a prospective, randomized study.

Setting: The setting was in two private medical centers in the UAE, from January 2011 to February 2012.

Background: Vaginal hysterectomy is considered the method of choice for removal of the uterus but most gynecologists still prefer the abdominal route for removal of benign uteri >14 weeks in size. Conversion of an abdominal to a potential vaginal hysterectomy by uterine size reduction would be advantageous. Gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists can reduce uterine bulk by up to 50%.
