Methods: A systematic review was undertaken based upon articles published between 1st January 2000 and 1st March 2024. Databases Pubmed, Scopus and Embase were used employing the key search terms "diverticulitis" and "peritoneal lavage".

We present a tiered assessment of drinking water exposure and associated human health risks for 22 PMT substances. Worst-case exposure via drinking water is assumed to occur when wastewater is discharged to rivers which are then abstracted for water supply.

Background: Beyond clinical risk factors, little is known about the impact of social determinants on respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) burden. Our study aimed to estimate RSV-related hospitalization rates across sociodemographic and housing characteristics.

Methods: We conducted a population-based study of all RSV-related hospitalizations in Ontario, Canada, between September 1, 2016, and August 31, 2019, using validated hospital discharge codes and census data.

Introduction: The objective of this case report is to describe diagnosis and management of life-threatening immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) secondary to pregnancy in a dog with concurrent dystocia.

Case Summary: A 1-year 11-month old female intact French bulldog was referred for management of severe thrombocytopenia and spontaneous hemorrhage during whelping. The thrombocytopenia was progressive from approximately 32 days of gestation.

Evaluating intraoperative ultrasound (IOUS) in focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) resection surgery: A systematic review.

Background: Surgery is the best approach to treating focal cortical dysplasia (FCD)-related epilepsy; yet, it has suboptimal outcomes because distinguishing the boundaries between the FCD region and normal brain tissue intraoperatively poses a challenge. The use of intraoperative ultrasound (IOUS) helps demarcate FCD lesion borders leading to more accurate intraoperative resection. Healthcare and housing provision for a UK homeless community: a qualitative service evaluation.
